Wake up tards, they're doing it again.
COVID playbook, but today:
- it's your fault there is a fuel shortage, do better.
- don't stash food and supplies, don't be un(insert nationality)
- work from home to lower fuel reliance.
- it will be over in 2 weeks.
- join the fight.
- we may have to lockdown to allow essential services to function.
- Patriots do the right thing and not complain

Did you know Goodwill made $2.1 BILLION in revenue last year?
They pay executives 6-figure salaries.
They pay workers sometimes less than minimum wage via a legal loophole.
They get their inventory donated for free
then sell it back to the public.
The thrift store for “poor people” is one of the most profitable nonprofits in the country.

From the Luke Gygax Press Event at Gary Con (link to video in the first reply.)
Luke says that the new head of D&D apologized to him twice for how his family was treated by WOTC.
He got emotional while saying that he can't believe he's going to get to contribute to new official Greyhawk supplements, and that the name "Gygax," "Greyhawk," and "Dungeons & Dragons" will once again be combined in an official capacity, something that he previously thought would never happen again.
When asked what he could share about what he is looking forward to bringing to the new Greyhawk products:
"I love 5E for expanding the customer base, but this new fangled Dungeons & Dragons is too easy!"
Wants to write alternate rules that will make Greyhawk more "Gygaxian."
Wants to feature his childhood character Melf the "right way," since he was never happy with how he has been portrayed as both a character and in art. He even hated the original LJN toy, since it was originally a completely different character (Peralay from Quest for the Heartstone), and looks nothing like his own character (Melf doesn't have blond hair.)
Wants adventures to be dangerous, not cakewalks, and for characters to not feel like they should be walking around in tights and a cape (superheroes.)
Wants the game to incorporate more problem solving.
If there is a movie he'd like David Harbour to play his dad and then when someone asked who would play him he joked "the guy who played Reacher, or uh, John Cena, yeah those guys are probably the closest," lol.
I do think that Luke is a genuinely kind and good guy, and believes that this is the very best thing he can do to honor his dad's legacy, keep the family name in the ongoing pop culture consciousness, and do justice to the setting he grew up with. And for that I'm happy for him and hope that he is pleased with the results.

Everybody has had their fun joshing about Boomers, but the Millennial takedown is coming and it’s well deserved.
Our generation was told to murder their own children to “save the planet”, “advance their career”, “be their true selves” etcetera, and many believed it.
Boomers may have sold out the country from underneath their children, but many Millennials either killed their children or never had them. The Disney Adult-ass generation. Even the good ones are liable; we didn’t shame our peers enough.

🚨 Georgia House Governmental Affairs CENSORED my Dominion backdoor public testimony—10 seconds SLICED OUT mid-sentence!
That's the EXACT part exposing the truth they wanted hidden. Timestamps prove it. Everyone in the room heard it. ON RECORD.
So I recovered the full audio, watch and listen to what someone doesn't want to be ON NOTICE of.
WHO ORDERED THE CUT???

Georgians, in fact ALL CITIZENS, make sure EVERYONE sees this post.

John Taylor Gatto was named New York State Teacher of the Year. Upon receiving the award, he quit and spent the rest of his life writing devastating critiques of the educational system he had mastered.
Gatto argued that regardless of the official curriculum, schools actually teach seven hidden lessons. The first is confusion. Students learn disconnected facts across dozens of subjects with no integration or meaning. The second is class position. Students learn their place in the social hierarchy. The third is indifference. Students learn that nothing is worth finishing because the bell always rings. The fourth is emotional dependency. Students learn to surrender their will to a chain of command. The fifth is intellectual dependency. Students learn to wait for experts to tell them what to think. The sixth is provisional self-esteem. Students learn that their worth depends on expert evaluation. The seventh is that they are always being watched and have no privacy.
These lessons, Gatto argued, are the actual function of schooling. The explicit curriculum of reading, writing, and arithmetic is almost incidental. The real purpose is to produce passive, dependent, compliant citizens who wait for authorities to tell them what to do and think.
Trad schooling amounts to thirteen years of training in being passive and dependent.
I have seen this play out with hundreds of students. When I created Montessori middle schools in the San Francisco Bay Area, about half the students came up through Montessori elementary and about half came from public schools. When we opened, the Montessori kids immediately began doing their work, taking initiative, choosing what to tackle first. The public school students were lost. They would stare at their desks until we walked over and helped them plan their morning. It took at least a semester, sometimes a full year, before they could function in an environment that asked them to direct their own learning.
These were not less intelligent children. They had simply been trained differently. For years, someone else had made all the decisions about what they would do, when they would do it, and how they would do it. When that structure was removed, they did not know how to operate.
Agency is natural to children unless we train it out of them.
When I coach parents on evaluating their children's education, I tell them to ignore grades entirely. The question is whether their children are taking initiative, being responsible, and becoming empowered moral beings. If a child is getting straight A's but has no initiative and no sense of personal responsibility, that child is being damaged by their education regardless of how it looks on paper.

The influencers don’t care that the Cuban government prioritized their power needs over the hospital. To them, it’s America’s fault in the first place.
The influencers don’t see themselves as hypocrites for staying in 5 star hotels. They see it as evidence that Communism can provide luxurious lifestyles. They see more humility as giving Cubans less money. They genuinely think it’s good advertising.
The influencers don’t care they’re collaborating with hostile governments. The US is what must be brought down.
The influencers truly believe they are the righteous ones.
That is how Communists operate.

imagine being a country full of oppressed artists, painters, and revolutionaries who get arrested for spray painting, just to watch some dumb privileged western fuck come into your country, stay in a 5 star hotel, eat your bread and food during a food shortage, and paint the walls of the street you grew up on in the name of “liberation.” doing something an actual Cuban would be arrested for doing. personally i would have been arrested for assault

Code Pink flew artists to Cuba to leave behind a “gift” mural. Maybe their base eats that up, but it comes off as pure performative cringe to me.

@PubWanghaf The problem is you look at someone and make the judgment. No medical record. No evidence at all.

The VA fraud is a perfect example of why nothing gets done in this country
The lines are so blurred between genuine disability and fraudulent claims that bringing it up inevitably offends people and nothing gets done
I know from MANY firsthand experiences how fraudulent many of these claims are. Too bad I guess. The topic is saturated in feelings and emotions. So bringing it up causes an outpouring of whining and totally missing the point.

It’s satisifying to call out wealthy influencers for hypocrisy, but “influencers in Cuba” isn’t just ordinary luxury tourism.
These trips are typically organized with involvement from the Cuban government. They often include structured interactions... some participants meet with government officials, while others take part revolutionary training.
They should all be questioned on return.
