@LeahOrme For all unis to release on the same day within work hours. The ability to edit application once saved up to them being released. Feedback from every Uni as to why your application was unsuccessful (even if tick box against their screening criteria)

After a rough 3 years of applying for the #dclinpsy I have so many thoughts about improving the process. I would love to collaborate and write an open letter to Leeds Clearing House. If so, would you have any recommendations on what you would want to change?

@JackGriffiths12 I share this to empathise with how you may be feeling. It’s such a hard and brutal process. Made even more difficult when they offer no feedback on how to improve or what they are looking for.

@JackGriffiths12 Sorry to hear that jack. I am struggling. I have 11 years experience, worked across lifespans, MSc etc and I’m on my third cycle with rejections. I dont know what I’m doing wrong and why my application isn’t good enough.

5th time of trying the DClinPsych application and 0 interviews. No feedback either unfortunately so I have no idea what I’m doing wrong. 4.5 years of experience and a MSc degree isn’t good enough. Back to the drawing board to work on my ‘reflective practice’ again I suppose

@egm1986 I think it’s also important that they be released between certain times such as 9-5. It’s not helpful to have emails early morning or late at night.

A plea to DClinPsy courses. Please, please send all outcomes at the same time, which most courses do. Hearing of people getting interview invites and having to continue waiting is too hard and results in additional stress and anxiety in an already stressful process.

@saskiapsy I chose a distance learning MSc, worked full time, got a postgrad loan to get an MSc. It was a very hard 2 years especially as I’m a single mum to a sen child. The MSc hasn’t proved helpful as I am still getting rejections from unis for interview. I feel like £12000 was wasted.

@RosenbrierC @TEWV Ah that’s a shame (for me) and understandable. The commute would be too long for me unfortunately otherwise I would have applied. Thank you for clarifying.

@lucedavis2 Oh sorry that you're in the same boat! It's so shitty. And just so different to typical career world where 1 years more experience would equal better chances or outcomes! Fingers crossed for the rest of your choices! Take care of yourself over the coming months as its hard!

My #Dclinpsy process has started with 1 rejection. Little disappointing as its a university I was interviewed last year at! Makes me feel extremely anxious about the other outcomes

@StephB_2 I completely agree. I even added a MSc to my qualifications that I didn’t have last year. I can’t fathom why it was a rejection this year with all that but last year i was invited to interview. Frustrates me no feedback is given for applications. I don’t know what to work on.

@AliceNewton_ Thanks for sharing Alice. I too have recieved a rejection and another from a Uni I interviewed at last year.it’s such a disheartening process and each rejection stings a little more as the years go on. I don’t know what more I can do to prove my worthiness

Well that’s the first dclin rejection in from Sheffield. As usual I’ll tweet openly throughout this period as I feel it’s important for people to hear the unsuccessful stories as well as successful. Feeling a little sad and lost- I’m struggling to know what more I can give.

@jadbakerg Similar to above.. the ball in the box is a helpful analogy to use with individuals. Helps to link conversations around 'what happens when the button is pressed?'
