Sure we would’ve recovered regardless, but seems like it would’ve taken longer without the stimulus Biden gave, meaning more businesses would’ve closed.

A lot of policies that maybe could fix these issues are either very controversial or are outright unpopular from what I understand.

You could disagree with whether the lockdowns were worth the economic effects, but that’s a separate issue

@luckbeatsskill2 @NKY_Leftist @elonmusk Thats not really relevant to any of the claims I made. There is a difference between the debt and the deficit. Obama served 8 years. The deficit is a yearly measure. Obama lowered the deficit from what he inherited.

Trump raised the deficit by 400 billion prior to Covid through tax cuts and increased discretionary spending

He inherited it at 1.4 trillion (recession related spending) but when he left office it was at 585 billion.Which I think drives a pretty stark contrast with Trump despite obamas reputation re: the deficit

Infrastructure investments also serve long term economic goals. Latest repub presidents increased it through huge tax cuts to the wealthy & war.

There is no reason to think "the future is autonomous". Niche market, undercutting cabs isn't a great business model. 98% of people who get free trials of FSD don't pay for it at the end. Half of the people who pay for it, don't use it. 60% of the general population doesn't trust FSD and/or thinks it should be outlawed. Vast majority of drivers will never give up driving their own cars. The FSD fanatics are a VERY small microcosm of drivers - likely lazy, greedy, stupid people who think their car is going to make them rich.

Very sad to get the email from tesla for the end of production of the model s and x, two best vehicles of all time. It saddens me this is happening, the EV business is a great business and although the future may be autonomous, it might take some time. $tsla
