Today has been so busy for me 😩, but I still have to show up, because consistency is the key... And... It's my day 2 of My Node.js Learning Journey So today, I moved from learning what Node.js is to actually running JavaScript with it. And Here's the breakdown of what I learnt... 1. Using the Node.js Runtime: I learned that Node.js provides an environment where JavaScript can run outside the browser. This means I can execute JavaScript directly on my computer and use it to build backend applications. 2. Executing JavaScript Files: I went ahead and created and ran my first JavaScript file using Node.js from the terminal. And seeing my code execute outside the browser was a simple but exciting experience. 3. Understanding the Node REPL: I also explored the Node REPL (Read-Eval-Print Loop), an interactive environment where I can write and test JavaScript code directly from the command line without creating a file first. Every lesson learnt shows me new possibilities for building real-world applications and I look forward to learning more 😊 On to Day 3.....

It's my Day 1 of My Node.js Learning Journey and I officially started learning Node.js as part of my backend development journey. I learned that Node.js is a JavaScript runtime that allows developers to run JavaScript outside the browser. I also got to discover why Node.js was created and who created it. Node.js creation made it possible for developers to use JavaScript on the server side, enabling them to build full-stack applications using a single programming language. Another interesting thing I learned was how Node.js differs from JavaScript in the browser. While JavaScript in the browser focuses on user interactions and web pages, Node.js provides access to system resources and backend functionality. To wrap up the day, I installed Node.js and npm (Node Package Manager) and learned how to run Node.js programs from both the Windows Terminal and the VS Code terminal. This is just the beginning, looking forward to learning more, building projects, and sharing my progress along the way 😊

This week proved something: Most of the cold DMs I sent months ago are now turning into leads. Don't judge your outreach by today's replies. Sometimes the payoff comes months later. Keep showing up.

What I got to work on today as an independent contractor : 1. Built out the full flow for session specialization of a project I’m working on. A user type can now select multiple specialization areas, and sessions are intelligently filtered to match them. 2. Implemented a task system: • Admins can create tasks • Users can fetch & update tasks • Added endpoints for pending tasks, unfinished goals nearing deadlines, and assignment submissions. 3. Progressed key product flows: • Almost done with all core features (remaining: admin endpoint + social auth integrations Google, TikTok, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram) • Auto welcome message + revenue flow for 1:1 sessions queued next. 4. Improved developer experience: • Started updating Swagger docs with accurate endpoint responses • Added a public resource module (fetch all, single resource, tracking) • Updated waitlist → signup flow Stacking small wins daily. Shipping, refining, repeating. What did you build today?
