Every nation should treat billionaires like a natural resource and mine them of their riches until exhausted, just like a nice thick seam of coal or a reservoir of oil, then make the spoils available to the nation's citizens. If they crop up again, mine them again.

Somewhat ridiculous how a “journalist” who works for the newspaper that literally supported Hitler can accuse the only Jewish political party leader in the UK of being antisemitic without any sense of irony whatsoever.

So if Wigan fans didn't have two greats to choose between then Sinfield wouldn't have made the team. No doubt Sinfield was a great leader of a great side, but half of his great career was at stand off. Should have been O'Loughlin, equally great as the rest, but for longer at 13.
Meg Wellens@MegWellensX

And in the hotly contested loose forward position, this was the breakdown of votes: Kevin Sinfield (36 per cent), Andy Farrell (32 per cent), Paul Sculthorpe (23 per cent), Sean O'Loughlin (eight per cent), Morgan Knowles (one per cent)

Tara has a decent feel for the game. Wants to let things go. You see it more in her Championship games where video ref/captain's challenge not available to get in the way. She doesn't get everything right, she's a ref after all, but I've seen worse Super League debuts.

👏 Following yesterday's game, Club Chairman Professor Chris Brookes presented referee Tara Jones with a gift from the Club in recognition of both receiving her MBE and becoming the first female to officiate a Men's Super League fixture. #WWRL

@Heccles94 They wouldn't have fought. But they would have stood on the sidelines cheering along and saluting Hitler.

I have no doubt in my mind that Trump and Farage would have fought alongside the Nazis in WW2

Based on both teams inability to defend and attack next week between Wigan and Saints will either finish 6-6 or 40-40

After the response I’ve received from the rugby league community over the past few days, it would feel uncharacteristic not thank the fans/friends who have reached out with messages of support following my departure from the Giants after 19 years. While I fully understand that this is a results-driven environment, the opening five games have not delivered the outcomes we all expected, however, the timing of my departure is particularly difficult, given we were on the eve of welcoming back key members of our starting line-up—players we believed would have a significant impact on performances and results moving forward. I also believe it is important to recognise the broader context of the past 18 months. Much of the work I’ve done during this period has focused on rebuilding the culture of the club, the playing group in particular —establishing standards, behaviours, and small but meaningful changes that I believed would create a strong foundation for sustained success. This has not always been immediately visible in results, but it has been central to the long-term strategy. I leave with immense pride in the years I have dedicated to the club, and with gratitude to the players, performance staff, and supporters. I am confident that the groundwork laid will benefit the club in the future. I hope the Giants can make the off field changes necessary to get a competive team out on the field consistently, giving the loyal Giants fans something to sing about.

In Rugby Union, it is quite common for teams to move one-off matches from their home stadium to a larger stadium. In Rugby League, only Leeds have done that recently and that was in 2018. Could or should we see more of this in our sport? bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-un…

Fair enough, never found a place in our team. This being a season long move with no recall option suggests some sort of long term future with Toulouse if he takes the chance. He wasn't getting any time with us and mustn't have been seen as long term at Catalans.

Here we have Nigel Farage. The MP for Clacton Willingly lying on Twitter. The BBC has not banned Farage. He is too scared to attend tonight as he’ll face criticism from his Clacton constituents. Entirely deserved criticism. Nigel Farage is a pathological liar.
Nigel Farage MP@Nigel_Farage

I wasn’t able to take part in #BBCQT from Clacton tonight, as we were told MPs are not allowed to appear on the show in their own constituencies. I’m sure I’ll be back on before too long!

Who knows where Castleford will finish this year but they've some player in Krystian Mapapalangi. Would be sensible to get him locked in long-term as quickly as possible
