Even with the messy staff list I 100% think this is possible I don't think the previous episodes set that high of a bar relatively speaking I mean... no jjk episode in s3 so far is even close to FSF episode 6 and Jigo episode 8 imo

@chromat1cfire i mean yeah pretty much the same only difference is that i got attached to characters during the novel so i still care about them in the anime but the cut content hurt the storytelling of the anime

Here's the thing... FSF became A COOL PEOPLE DOING COOL THINGS show for me. I just don't find myself attached to the story and the characters. It's fun but I don't think about it after I finish watching. I can comprehend the story but can't get invested.

The episode was peak but I think I've seen Jujutsu Kaisen, Fate Strange Fake, and Sentenced to be a Hero deliver comparable if not better cuts this season. Episode of the year is crazy, we're 2.5 months into 2026 Also Episode of the year shouldn't be soley based off of sakuga🗿

@PokemanZ0N6 i gave it 5 episodes and xylo did not have a single unique characteristic, dotta was irrelevant, kivia is average tsundere, the king was an inferior erwin copy, tatsuya was all hype moments and aura. went into it with an open mind, it didnt make me stay, might just not be for me

@mateeeCS I think it's the perfect recent example of a show not needing to be deep to be enjoyable. The characters are good, they have good interactions and development. Aesthetically it's top tier, and I like its world setting

Ranking what i enjoyed this season of anime so far 1. Sentenced to be a hero (was lower, but got up) 2. Fate/strange Fake (was easily #1 until last episode, but could go up again) 3. Frieren S2 (going up with recent eps) 4. JJk (dropped) 5. Vigilantes (dropped)

Please refrain from criticizing Richard under my posts unless you have read all nine volumes of FSF at least three times, have read a minimum of five books about the real figure, including Gillingham’s work, have watched the movie Kingdom of Heaven just for the final scene, have read two books about Robin Hood, and have written a dissertation on a minimum of seven Plantagenets, Richard included of course.

gets so boring seeing everyone complain about cut content ts happens to most adaptations just cuz fsf is not 1 out of 300 this doesnt happen to is no reason for slandering the adaptation. fsf was meant as an april fools joke and look how far it came just be happy #strangefake

6 volumes in a single cour would be VERY bad, I’m not gonna lie. If that’s true, it’d be one of the worst LN adaptations story-wise.

My reaction to the cuts was tame as hell because I’m reading alongside the anime and have been enjoying it. Wait until you see some of the LN readers’ complaints, holy shit they’re mad (understandably). 😭 There’s no way they’re adapting SIX volumes in 1-cour, right?? Right??

@RegneLent its always been this way. those who really wanna immerse will get into the ln those who dont will enjoy the anime. sad thing the ln fans will always complain when something gets skipped personally im a tbate novel fan so i consider myself immune to complaining about adaptation

Oh ok. I was immerse in my excitement but now I see everyone hates this episode lmao. The way I see it. I enjoy getting what I’m getting. Nothing is going to match Narita’s work. There’s something much more important that we are gonna get soon that truly warrants the most quality: volume 10. The anime is a nice companion but we still have the novels, when I feel like I wanna see Richard, truly, I just go to the novels. I have eyes and the capacity to read.

@TheMashStan only real bad things were the monte cristo and the fake assassin fight but both of those can be salvaged with a little time trip at the start of next ep like they did in ep6

Gents, I know we wanna give credit where its due,I've been saying the anime staff has done a really amazing job with it. But this episode was...disappointing. I'm sorry I can't be fake positive about it. The Golden Dragon scene, Gil vs Alcides being underwhelming, no Monte Cristo

@cipher_over in the ln theres a lot more story imo the anime is amazing and rly enjoyable but its best seen as an apperizer for the ln cuz theres like 2 times as much story in the ln than in the anime

Don’t get me wrong, I love the episode, but goddamn I’m so disappointed the entire Assassin vs Jester part was skipped. They teased us with it in the OP just for it to get skipped completely. Alright. #StrangeFake
