@grandslamcurl My favourite part about the announcement is the fact that Nic is bringing the Grand Slams to places that haven’t had it in a LONG TIME. Was so thankful he brought it back to MB last year, way to go @nicsulsky 💪

@rockchannelcurl Brad played an awful 10th end. He was so nervous as evidenced br his screeching louder and louder. Relying too much on Bennie

@TSNCurling @TSNJFranklin Really sad that in 2026 TSN has to comment about the race of an athlete.

Ontario's Jayden King will history at the St. John's Brier by becoming the first Black skip to compete in a Brier.
King sat down with TSN's @TSNJFranklin to share his excitement, and how significant it is to make history.

@TeamKingCurl Team King please ditch the fist bumping before Jayden throws. It is a junior curling team thing . Your in the big leagues now..

We went to a dinner as a group and had a $500 bill. We tipped $40. We were happy we can be able to give our server something, but her reaction was the opposite. She told us she assumed we're going to give her at least $120. When we asked for the manager, she said she was just joking, but she wasn't smiling at all. Idk, but is $40 tip enough for $500 bill? I just feel like expecting $120 is not realistic.

@JudyMaxB @ScottWJones93 @retiredcurler Optics vs comfort level. The 5th they took to olympics is playing for his regular team in NL
English

@ScottWJones93 @retiredcurler I can understand that
But it is not good optics for such an important competition

@CurlingCanada Mr Ray seems to have forgotten the Jhonny Chow commercial that was also designed to grow the game. It was hilarious.

We've launched our Grow the Game campaign to harness the excitement of the Olympics and Paralympics and bring more people into curling! 🎉🥌

@BlueJays Bench Vladdy for a day. Give him a cheerleaders set of pompoms. How much did Jay's pay for each of his homers?

@st_l11 @rwesthead Police decided in 2018 not to lay charges. In 2024 they catered to public outrage .

@rwesthead One can’t freely give consent when persuaded or coerced.
God this is the stupidest trial. There was no chance of freely expressed and ongoing consent. But they’ll be found not guilty bc Crown didn’t do a good enough job and so many victims just like EM relive the trauma over.

Crown attorney Meaghan Cunningham scrutinized a video Michael McLeod filmed of E.M. at 4:26 am in his hotel room on June 19, 2018.
“Say it,” McLeod says in the video.
“This was all consensual. Are you recording me? Okay good,” E.M. answers.
“What else?” McLeod says.
“You are so paranoid. Holy. I enjoyed it. It was fine. I’m so sober. That’s why I can’t do this right now,” E.M. responds.
Cunningham asserted on Friday morning in court that the videos McLeod filmed are “token lip service box checking,” and not evidence of any reasonable steps to sincerely ascertain E.M.'s valid consent.
Cunningham: “Your Honour should find that when Mr. McLeod is saying, ‘Say it,’ and ‘What else,’ that indicates he's the one directing what [E.M.] should say in this video.
“If she has been begging people for sex, calling them out for not doing stuff with her, why would he be telling her to say, ‘It's all consensual and it was fine. I enjoyed it’? Wouldn't we expect him to get her to confirm that she was the one asking people to do stuff, or to confirm that she was begging for sex all night?”
The Crown has completed its closing submissions and the defence teams are now responding.
The judge in the case has said she will announce her verdicts on July 24.

Crown attorney Meaghan Cunningham took aim at a purported consent video during her closing argument Friday, arguing the video is evidence of how Michael McLeod badgered the complainant to say what he wanted as he filmed her. Story from @rwesthead: tsn.ca/crown-takes-ai…

@stubbs980 @LondonKnights Did Boulton get the most useless player award again?
English

The @LondonKnights handed out their year-end awards on June 4. globalnews.ca/news/11213602/…

@stubbs980 Boulton should have been benched permanently last fall by Hunter

@stubbs980 @LondonKnights Why does everyone connected to the
Knights keep protecting Boulton??

The @LondonKnights will face the Moncton Wildcats in the 2025 Memorial Cup semi-final on Friday night.
Moncton knocked off and knocked out the host Rimouski Oceanic with a 6-2 victory to close the round-robin.

The road to the Memorial Cup may lead to Rimouski, Que., but London Knights fans who are unable to make the trip can still rally behind the team at downtown outdoor screenings. tinyurl.com/5n92sw45

@CurlingCanada @TeamBradJacobs @worldcurling Time management again and again. Hebert needs to shut up. I know that Bens input was a condition of the team hiring Brad. 1 skip not 4.
English

That was a heartbreaker 💔
@TeamBradJacobs falls 7-4 to Scotland in the semifinal.
Canada will play China for bronze tomorrow at 9 a.m. CST (11 a.m. ET).

@CurlingCanada @Leftykenbear Watching this team this week, it is obvious why the front end dumped Bottcher. Hebert wanted to voice his opinion on every shot and Kennedy loves to talk and natter too.
