@Mollyploofkins CNN, it's on you, you are the ones giving him a platform.

@HayesTSN Alfredsson is coming out of retirement to fake throw his stick like York.
English

@RpsAgainstTrump This is only a step or two above Soviet show-trial level.

@Hurley009 @FriedgeHNIC So you would stop watching hockey if there were no longer any head-first hits from behind into the boards? I don't see the logic in defending a play that adds nothing to the entertainment value of the sport and that can cause catastrophic injuries to the participants.
English

@Hurley009 @FriedgeHNIC NFL football is a high-speed, high-impact sport so it's a completely reasonable comparison. The suspension process can account for things like a last second turn, that's not a reason to nothing about plays that warrant a suspension sufficient to actually deter future violations.
English

Thought the hits -- Kleven, Tkachuk (x2) -- were fair, but do not like the Greig sucker punch here. Not at all.

CHAOS IN OTTAWA 🫨
English

@Hurley009 @FriedgeHNIC I don't care about Greig any more or less than any other player. If you look at the NFL, that league banned hits on defenseless receivers (and punished accordingly) and it has not eliminated hitting in that high-speed, high impact sport. It simply removed a dangerous play.
English

@mor67249 @FriedgeHNIC No you want to say it’s vigilantism because it was on greig. It’s a play that happens often in the nhl. You can’t start throwing 5-10 games for every hit from behind when guys can turn on a dime in a high speed sport. If that happens you might as well just eliminate hitting
English

@Hurley009 @FriedgeHNIC Walker's play wasn't a hockey play. That was vigilantism pure and simple. Also, there can still have flexibility in the length of the suspension given. If players started getting 5 and 10 games for "ordinary" hits from behind, those type of hits would be gone from the game.
English

@mor67249 @FriedgeHNIC Sure if you want to give out 40+ game suspensions for non hockey plays. Walkers hit was a hockey play, what justification would you give for suspending a guy 40+ games for a hit that happens at least once a night? Games too fast to be giving 40 game suspensions on a whim
English

@Hurley009 @FriedgeHNIC The suspensions the NHL gives are designed to give the appearance of addressing the problem while not actually addressing the problem. If the Department of Players “Safety” started giving 40+ game suspensions the thuggery in the game would be gone instantly.
English

@mor67249 @FriedgeHNIC Suspensions that involve retaliation have always been higher. A contact league like this will always benefit from self policing. what do you think is more likely to stop greig from doing it again, a 5 game suspension or the target he’s placed on his own back?
English

@Hurley009 @FriedgeHNIC If you read my post, you’ll see that I said the sucker punch needs to be punished. But that punishment needs to come from the NHL. The issue is that the NHL wants thuggery and vigilantism in the game because it puts butts in seats. That the problem.
English

@mor67249 @FriedgeHNIC So can a sucker punch. If you go out trying to injure someone, don’t cry when someone does the same to you.
English

@JesseVande6091 @ThomasD75995633 @HayesTSN It’s pretty common to like the show, but not the Dog. Feel free to be angry about that.
English

@mor67249 @ThomasD75995633 @HayesTSN You actually never HAVE to listen to or watch overdrive at all. You're free to listen to a show that doesn't drive you to the internet, whining like a bitch.
English

@ThomasD75995633 @HayesTSN It's better when he's on his phone, you don't have to listen to his dumb takes.
English

@HayesTSN Watching Tkachuk on the 5 on 3 is almost as bad as watching ODog on Overdrive read his phone during the show for 5 min straight.
English

@atrupar Government of the stupid, by the stupid, for the stupid.

@MattWallace888 I thought it was the remote control for Trump's diaper.

APPLEBAUM: Russians aren't winning, despite the absence of United States. Maybe Trump imagined that if the U.S. disappeared, Ukraine would collapse. It didn't collapse. European part of NATO, Ukrainians, and other allies turned out to be very powerful.
It's almost as if Trump is listening to Putin, getting information from Putin. He is not paying attention to what's actually happening on the ground. It's as if he has no information from Ukraine and from Europe at all.

@Top100Rick The best possible outcome is that Patrick Reed loses in the most soul destroying way imaginable.
