It represents the hierarchical tradition in America, and what form rejection of egalitarian mass democracy in favor of an aristocratic republic of great men, as designed by the Founders, could have taken Further, it was a desperate effort to stave off the roots of the race communism that have wrecked America over the years since Lee is the best physical manifestation of this

They were “really distressed” to find that inquiry into the past did not support their preference for peace, friendliness, and niceness Nietzsche explicitly said the classics would die because now people only study the classics to justify their merely fashionable Modern ideals

Because despite the fact that the Union imported 43% of it’s Army and conscripted soldiers to murder it’s fellow citizens, had nearly unlimited more resources in terms of raw materials and weapons, the Confederates were a slip of Gettysburg away from winning the war.

Berlingske@berlingske

It's so funny that researchers were ever looking at our ancestors — in tribal societies, in resource scarce areas, at an advanced stage of an evolutionary journey founded on ruthless competition — and thinking, "They were probably quite nice." x.com/i/status/20506…

Those who truly grasp human nature are not remotely shocked by ancient DNA's 'revelations' of conquest and replacement; only those who mistook history for a nursery rhyme are surprised that our ancestors behaved like humans: ambitious, tribal, and willing to seize what they could. These findings align with data on steppe migrations like the Yamnaya, supporting historical accounts of conquest over earlier narratives of assimilation...

There's something to be said about the role of nationalism and the flag in an increasingly globalized world but somehow Banksy makes it gay and cringe - would he ever say this about a Palestinian waving the flag of Palestine? We all know the answer.

So, are archaeologists just, like, retarded, or what? I’m never going to understand this thing where educated people would rather look stupid than say something that violates their politics. It’s such a black pill. You really have to imagine of people like this that there’s nothing they wouldn’t do, no evil they wouldn’t countenance. They’ll literally just say anything. They can be made to believe anything.
