@hcs2536 @tastytrade Referring to options, I assume? Not all equities currently have a low IV Rank. IV Rank and stock price are closely related - but not always a 1-to-1 relationship. If it continues, IV Rank will increase.

@mrechenthin @tastytrade So why are we selling anything at all — shouldn’t we just be buying? Usually, when the market is negative, IVR goes up. But now, after three down days, the IVR is still under 0.88 out of 100.

@tastytrade Why did the /ES IVR drop? Early this morning it was 1.1, but now it’s 0.9. Since IVR is measured on a 0–100 scale, I’m trying to understand what caused the change.

I just pulled the leading and lagging sectors YTD. Small Caps (Russell 2000) have had a pretty amazing run the last 3 months - beating the other equity indices (Nasdaq and S&P 500). @tastyliveshow

Pepsi on its lows - where it was 6 years ago. Puts trading 19% more expensive than calls. @tastyliveshow

@JoelJames194582 @tastyliveshow Cool Joel. I am taking the stance that puts are more lucrative to sell right now (bullish stance). I see revenue increasing and net income continuing to increase. Sure some bumps, but I am taking it as an opportunity. I’ve sold puts and bought stock. PEP still big multinational.

@mrechenthin @tastyliveshow What does this mean as far as the action a trader might want to take? Does this suggest that selling puts at this time could be lucrative, or something else all together? Sorry new to this game so trying to learn what to do with this information.

@HgggOp88185 Unfortunately yes. It requires the macros.

@mrechenthin Hi Mike I run LibreOffice on Ubuntu 24.04. Dose your option calculator require visual basic? the macros don't seem to work. Thanks Bill
