If Ruto was a doctor, he would amputate the wrong leg, then give the other leg a pedicure and charge for a heart transplant and a postmortem.

There are very many criminal things that President Ruto is doing to our country its not even funny at all.
Sholla Ard 🇰🇪@sholard_mancity

There is a Bill in Parliament right now by Murugara and JLAC, i.e., Criminal Procedure Code (Amendment) Bill, 2026, and most Kenyans have NO idea what’s inside. It creates a powerful, dangerous Criminal Procedure Rules Committee (see pages 19-20 of the Bill). Who sits in it? Chief Justice, AG(executive), Police IG, DPP, Commisioner prisons, EACC & others. And what will they do? They will make rules that courts must follow in criminal cases (p.19-20). Not laws passed by Parliament. Rules. And these rules can influence things like: Bail, bond terms, and much more How cases are handled in court How fast or slow cases move Now imagine this: You protest against Ruto. You get arrested. And Bail? Suddenly KSh 3M or more And your Case? It drags for months, etc. All “within procedure or these new rules that will keep changing.” No law changed, just the rules. And you had ZERO say in those rules. It gets worse. The Bill allows courts to declare you mentally unfit if you can’t understand proceedings or instruct a lawyer (p.8-10). Then you can be detained in a mental facility for 14 days, extendable up to 6 months (p.12). No conviction. Just procedure. Ask yourself: In a country where critics are already targeted, what could go wrong? Yes, there are several good parts in the bill: The ODPP must now seek court approval before dropping a case (p.6). But let’s be honest: This Bill gives the system cleaner, more structured ways for the government to control outcomes. Very neat on paper. Very dangerous in the wrong hands. Read it. Don’t ignore it.

After 10+ years of devolution, we must be having atleast 47 CT scan machines in every county, that is county referral hospitals. But wapi? Bwana these people don't deserve to lead us.

Do not celebrate this trap. This is a highly calculated psychological and legal setup. Under Section 6 of the VAT Act, the CS can only alter the tax rate by a maximum of 25% via a legal notice. That means they can only legally drop it to 12% without a Parliamentary vote. Dropping it to 8% by executive decree is intentionally unconstitutional. Why do it? Because they know Omtatah or the LSK will be forced to challenge it in court tomorrow. When the Judiciary inevitably strikes down this illegal decree, the Executive will go to the podiums and say: "We tried to lower the fuel prices for YOU, but the courts and activists stopped us." They are outsourcing the blame to the judges while keeping the Ksh 28/litre G-to-G cartel premiums completely untouched in the background.

You imagine a whole CS going to launch a CT scan machine, something that can be done by the hospital administration and area MCA. But yeah, we are here. Launching CT scan machine when the same hospital lacks intravenous antibiotics.

Tonight, I had the pleasure of having dinner with the legendary @LarryMadowo, my Kenyan brother. We covered a wide range of topics, from Tanzania’s October 29th massacre and where the country stands today, to what lies ahead and Meta’s removal of my accounts. It was a deeply engaging and productive evening. It was a true honor to meet in person a journalist who works without fear, using his voice to speak for those who cannot.
