Only people mad at "broke fgc member" are the ones who dont know the stories history of people going to majors with 20 bucks, no rooms booked and a dream.
Shout outs the people who bummed it for years for the love of the game.

@SoneroGGs I feel like even just saying “broke FGC members” makes u incredibly mean spirited and counteracts ur whole point of real fans attending. Some people would go to all of these games if they could afford it man

@SoneroGGs So is the FGC members dream that everyone who shows up has to bum it out or hemorrhage money to be there. And anyone else attending is a fake fan. Is it so important to u that the essence of being broke is upheld so that no one gets a chance to show up saving some dough.

@SoneroGGs I think the real only negative about this is that people will take the free entry who don’t play, which I agree might be an oversight, but even at its worst is just kind of an annoying waste of slots and money, and not this big dramatic issue ur making it out to be.

My mistake, he didnt do it for a Sunday spot.
He did to cook numbers and make it seem like the community for his game was bigger than other ones by letting broke FGC people claim they play RoA2 to get free entry at Evo.
Which is a much stupider goal. Shoutouts to DQs.

@SoneroGGs @NanNanFGC @LudwigAhgren Yeah I understand the frustration that paying for everyone’s attendance inflates the number but I think it’s a net positive that helps people who would otherwise not pay/afford it get to play. Why is it so important to u that the actual number of people who show up represent it?

Instead of being able to celebrate the actual numbers that RoA2 pulled, this will be the year where a smasher randomly paid for other people to attend Evo.

I'm seeing a some people are upset at the placement for Rivals of Aether 2 at EVO For anyone unaware, I am the publisher for that game I also remember being in the crowd at EVO 2016 and watching hungrybox beat armada through losers It was a seminal weekend for me. I returned from Vegas and started grinding smash, got my ass beat. Then I started grinding commentary, and later on that turned into streaming To have another platform fighter, and it be the one I publish, means something to me (regardless of how you feel about us...) To clarify I did buy a bunch of EVO passes to help make this the biggest Rivals 2 tournament we've ever had We handed passes to the top 128 players, ran online qualifiers, ran locals, and gave passes to TO's to give out to their community I'm sure I got taken advantage of. People sold codes, shared them without permission, and signed up with no intention of playing. But that's the price I'm willing to pay to make this the biggest Rivals 2 event we've ever had. The community has rallied around this, and I'm pumped to go to EVO this year See yall there (Saturday night)
