@royngerng A laissez-s’enrichir, I would argue, that creates a greater and greater gap between the richest and the poorest and will eventually kill democracy itself. See the US and the UK for example. The subsidised utilities does make a difference with other countries, but is it enough?

The next Taiwan government has to take seriously many of Taiwan's social and livelihood issues such as housing prices—for many of these issues, Taiwan performs very poorly. The laissez-faire governance is breaking down many aspects of Taiwan's society.

Road safety in Taiwan is notoriously bad, which cost thousands of lives annually. Dense population, bad driving habits, and poor road design worsen the problems. The map shows the traffic accidents that happened in 2021. The style is heavily inspired by @MrPecners.

@ShellenbergerMD @grantadever As a chemist, I generally doubted that plastics can be recycled, unless there's a big bunch of a single kind of plastic. Which does not happen in home recycling. I have been throwing them in the garbage, not wanting to waste water on cleaning them for ?Recycle?
