The lady at the charity shop today told me that she wishes people would clear out their children's old toys in the lead up to Christmas rather than after because she always sees a number of parents in the days before Christmas looking for toys for their little ones who might be strapped for cash. She said there's very rarely anything in just before, but that they get inundated with toys in the days after.
And it really made me think about it in a way I never would have before.
If you know your child is going to get lots of presents from Father Christmas this year, by clearing out your cupboards a few days early, you could make another child's Christmas a lot more special too.
Saw this & thought I'd repost.

Dr. Salena Zanotti, an obstetrician and gynecologist with the Cleveland Clinic, said earlier this year that acetaminophen is considered the safest drug to take during pregnancy for fever and pain.
“When you’re pregnant, it’s riskier to have an untreated fever than it is to take acetaminophen,” Zanotti said.

I am in awe of our Canadian ladies. They're #2 in the World, yet they had to crowdfund to pay for their World Cup preparations and travel.
Today, they watched #1 New Zealand perform the Haka, then trampled them 34-19 in the World Cup semifinal. The Black Ferns had won 6 of the last 7 World Cups. Canada will now advance to the final for the first time, and these ladies did it ALL on their own. 🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦🇨🇦

@HeidiBriones No. They all literally think they can’t even visit as tourists.

@LarryPDonnelly I brought my child to the doctor in Toronto recently, and when said doctor clocked my accent she immediately started lecturing me that Irish people are antisemitic

You can call Alan Dershowitz wrong, ahistorical, etc. And you’d be right. But as I’ve said here and elsewhere on many occasions, do not underestimate how widespread his sentiments are in the US. I say this in the context of the Occupied Territories Bill. newstalk.com/news/oj-simpon…

@2013_Sylvius @tomdoorley @NChildersMEP I was asked for social media usernames on recent ESTA application going to a conference
English

@tomdoorley @NChildersMEP They’re specifically asking for them on F, M and J visas. Those are predominantly student visas I believe e.g. the J1. Probably not an issue at our delicate ages, but traveling to the US is clearly not as attractive as previously.
