🚨Steam Community Ban 📷I’ve been a passionate @Steam user since 2017, with over 10,000 in-game hours and 31,000+ trades, all done manually with the Steam Mobile Authenticator. Trading and skin collecting have been my hobby, never linked to bots, third-party sites, or commercial activity. Recently, my account was permanently banned for "commercial usage." This is devastating. I feel devastated that all the games I’ve collected, my one and only Steam profile that I’ve cherished since 2017, and over 10,000 hours of memories are being taken away from me. From the early PUBG matches in 2018 to the countless Deagle headshots in CSGO, everything I’ve built and enjoyed is gone in a single, unexpected moment. The worst part is that I haven’t been given a chance to defend myself. My tickets are being closed with automated replies, leaving me unable to present any proof or explanation. When I was first API scammed in 2018 for my Butterfly Ultraviolet Field-Tested, I cried a lot. Being from India, I had to save so much money just to buy that knife. After that, I swore to myself that I would work hard, and one day, I’d own hundreds of knives. That promise kept me motivated for years, and I worked tirelessly to grow my collection. Despite multiple appeals, my account, with $71,000+ worth of skins, remains locked. I’ve invested years of time, effort, and passion into the Steam community, and I feel helpless now. @Steam_Support , please understand my account has always been personal. I’ve followed all guidelines and just want a fair review. This isn’t just a ban—it’s losing a huge part of my life. 📷📷 If anyone has advice or can help, please reach out. This is incredibly hard to go through alone. Summary: *Total 31,000 trades made with not a single scam or attempt to scam. *Never used bots to snipe skins or automation of any kind. *Not a gambling site supplier. *Yes, I withdrew the cheapest skins from various P2P websites for trading, but always followed fair practices. steam profile -> steamcommunity.com/id/swaggwho/

After asking @Steam Support multiple times to show me any proof of their claims… this is what I got back. Again. 📌 No clause 📌 No logs 📌 No screenshots 📌 No explanation Just "community reports and other factors." #SteamSupport #Valve #CS2 #CSGO #GamerRights

🧵 1/ I'm writing this with a heavy heart. My @Steam account, which I've built since 2017, has been permanently locked after 10,000+ in-game hours and 31,000+ manual trades. And the worst part? I’ve never broken a single rule. 👇 #SteamSupport #Valve #CS2

So its ok when big and popular traders do it but when a normal person does it… thats a problem. I legit have proof where big people have withdrawn my skins or I have bought skins from them on these platforms…. And all of them legit get unbanned with a day. @gergelyszabo94 is one prime example, and technically you buying skins at 95% is also commercial usage my man.

p2p trading on gambling sites can get you banned too, you don’t have to be a supplier and since you know what a „dedicated suppleir for gamba sites” is then I suppose u did p2p trading on those and now act suprised that u got banned, but u can lmk if I’m wrong x.com/olafkswg/statu…

@odshot @rohit_bherwani @Steam > never linked to third party sites > $71,000+ worth of skins inventory That sounds weird. If you got these skins in one trade steam might’ve flagged you as a scammer storage account, depends on who you traded with. Take care hope you somehow get unbanned 🫡🫶🏻

As a research fellow on high performance code development at an established research institute. Through my connections in US, I got hold of a @Steam support agent who worked with steam for some years. Talking with him about the topic, His comments were interesting. Basically, On the first ticket you send after the account alert. The higher level support agent will put a note on your account. Then all your tickets where you show all evidence will be ignored and responded by a macro. your chance of unban are zero regardless of what you did. I asked him about @SynchoCS case. He pointed out something intereseting. With social media, higher ups will send a notice to the lower team or manually remove the ban. 4/5

So to summarize, you can get screwed regardless whether you did right or wrong. You wont get unbanned. The big traders and youtubers are too afraid to talk about this when they know this is a big issue. Worse, the community is so braindead, they defend steam's bad ban handling by simply throwing the npc accusation of "you are probably a gamba supplier". When in fact, it is better for everyone on twitter to take this matter seriously as this ban inconsistency is a threat to them. It is also hypocritical to think that more than 50% of cs pro scene players trade their skins on gambling sites on almost daily basis and over 90% of the cs youtubers are gambling site promoters. Yet instead of dealing with those, @valvesoftware crudely throws bans hitting unassociated users like me and some others. Personally, It is unfortunate to see my steam accout that I had for 8 years with over 2,800 hours gameplay, large amount of collectibles, achievements & most importantly the skins loadout that I had always dreamt of and finally acquired after 5 years of trading up in @CounterStrike and much more on various games like Rust & Warframe get PERMANENTLY BANNED for some misinterpreted factors regarding my trading activity. 5/5

RT for AWARENESS! WARNING - Your @Steam account can get permanently banned for simply using ANY p2p sites. ( @BitSkinsCom, @GamerPayGG, @SkinBid etc. Doesn't matter if a gambling site or not) A Thread!! 🧵👇with @Steam SUPPORT AGENT COMMENT!!! A while ago my steam account got banned. This happened while trading a couple of @CounterStrike skins over waxpeer, buff, some friends on steam and on twitter. At the time I was rarely trading as often as I used to in terms of volume or trade count. Somehow that flagged my steam account as violating steam's ToS. I contacted steam and they responded with the generic macro "commercial purposes, ban is perma, we can't do anything". I decided to provide them all the evidence showing my trades and their sources. Same response. I kept resending tickets with all the evidence until they closed support on me. So what lead to the ban? honestly, I don't know. I dont supply or use gambling sites. I haven't traded as often as i used to at least since March. Nor do I deal with scammers or any of that type. My theory is that when sites started using session based approach to track trades, their bad handling of session cookies per proxy might have linked my steam with someone else's (Someone who might have been a gambling supplier) My case is one of many that had no association with gambling sites. @LpsU8 for one, used skinbid and bitskins. His steam was banned permanently. Another case used bitskins and gamerpay only with less than a handful of trades over the last month got completely banned with no chance of getting unbanned for few month now. 1/5
