@Korolis1 @AboutNodKrai i probably explained it poorly but the line of thinking i had is 'scherzo' (joke/jest) ➡️ 'lazzo' (stock comedic routine from the commedia dell'arte, and winter night's lazzo) ➡️ related to the fatui (meaning 'fool' in latin)

@imbibity @sottoipovnti bamboo shoot soup is inspired by the irl dish yanduxian (腌笃鲜) from shanghai and jiangsu province, and surprisingly it has tofu skin as an ingredient (not quite but close enough i guess)
