AFAB Transfem (request!) refers to someone who was afab and identifies as transfeminine. One reason for this is that the individual is intersex. They might've been afab but was born with a hormonal imbalance, or other condition that requires them to receive GAC.

This is why my dysphoria went unaddressed for so long. Even by the time I was 13-14 and learned what being trans was, most of the rhetoric in trans spaces had shifted to "gender is a spectrum" and "trans men don't OWE you masculinity!" and "men can have boobs TOO!"
