It's incredible that Nigeria's petrol prices - even with new refineries - have risen more than any other African country's despite its huge oil holdings. Nigerian Govt can't seem to manage anything - it never planned for a petrol reserve. Pathetic! reuters.com/sustainability…

Setting the record straight. This was February 2020, under Buhari/Osibanjo. Baba did not protest. It was a prayer walk called by CAN. Baba as a man under authority participated. It will be good to another one sha.

Dear @NeonAdejo When Jonathan was president, several prominent pastors (like Tunde Bakare) led protests and openly criticized the government over fuel subsidy removal and insecurity. Today, with Christians being slaughtered in Benue, Plateau & elsewhere under this administration, many are strangely silent. Why the double standard? Pastors have influence, use it consistently or don't lecture us on 'focusing on minor issues.'"
NEON ADEJO@NeonAdejo

Stop attacking pastors over what the government should be responsible for, you didn’t elect pastors into office. The constant criticism of men of God needs to stop. We keep focusing on minor issues while ignoring the major ones. We are all responsible for building a better Nigeria, not just spiritual leaders. As long as you carry a Nigerian passport, you count.

Matthew 5:13 NLT "You are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if it has lost its flavor? Can you make it salty again? It will be thrown out and trampled underfoot as worthless.' The dragging of pastors is justified. We have failed to do justice.

"Your Pastors are not the government. Leave them alone" I'm tired of seeing this stupid line of arguments. Your government leaders kneel before your Pastors every Sunday. Your Pastors craft nasty messages like "Saul will come before Paul" to enable blood sucking demons into power. Your pastors are complicitly evil. Your Pastors do not control security or policies, but they control 80M Christians. They have an obligation from a place of influence. Not even the Bible you teach from, sidelines the effect of religious leaders in spinning the wheels of power. Your Pastors are IN FACT the government. Literally and metaphorically. About 3 currently active Governors are serving ushers in big 3 churches. Your former vice president was a Senior Pastor. Your EFCC director is. Your first lady is. Your Ministers are. YOUR PASTORS ARE THE GOVERNMENT.

Nigeria Bleeds Arriving back from my visit to Kano this evening, I received disturbing news and images from Jos of a painful attack at the Angwa Rukuba area, Jos North, Plateau State. The recurring loss of innocent lives in Plateau State reminds us, yet again, of the insecurity innocent citizens face in our nation without any protection. These continuous devastating headlines are a reminder of a nation that is steadily normalising the loss of its own people. It is unacceptable that these attacks happen with such frequency, and even more unacceptable that there seems to be no decisive, sustained strategy to end them. No nation or leader normalises tragedy. The safety of Nigerian lives must become non-negotiable, we cannot continue to mourn what should have been prevented. Enough is enough. My heart goes out to the families who have lost loved ones. May the souls of the departed rest in peace, and their memories never be forgotten. I pray that we get a country where the loss of lives is no longer a recurring reality. We cannot continue like this. -PO

@Nig_Farmer Your agenda is glaring. But let me indulge. Peter will not be wasteful, heartless, reckless and disgraceful as Tinubu. We would have a decent human being as president. There will be rule of law, compassion, competence as compass.

Jos attack is another evidence of failed leadership.. Leadership that prioritizes politics over protection of lives.. Choosing rather to waste our collective patrimony in pre-election jamboree and pre-coronation plans.. Posterity will judge a leadership that now emboldens, enables and replicates what it once vehemently condemned.. I believe in the power of prayers but prayers won’t replace responsibility.. We need humane leaders.. These current folks have zero affiliation with empathy… We are tired..it’s depressingly exhausting. We stand with the families who lost loved ones and pray for fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.. And for those who will engage this tweet to support failed leadership for the crumbs they offer you,pls show your irritation via good grammar.. So even if I am irritated by your intentional delusion,I would be encouraged by your mastery of words.. AJS.

Today, I visited Angwan Rukuba in Jos North Local Government Area with a heavy heart following the heinous attack on innocent citizens. I stood with grieving families, listened to their pain, and shared in their loss. No words can truly capture the depth of sorrow in moments like this, but I want every affected family to know you are not alone. Your pain is my pain, and the pain of Plateau State. I assure you that those responsible for this evil act will not go unpunished. My administration will pursue justice relentlessly until the perpetrators are brought to book. We will also ensure that the lives lost are honored with dignity through a befitting burial. Furthermore, the Plateau State Government will take full responsibility for the medical treatment of all those currently receiving care as a result of this attack. I call on all citizens our traditional rulers, religious leaders, and community stakeholders to work with us. Security is a shared responsibility, and together, we must rise above division and confront this challenge with unity and resolve. Let me reaffirm: my administration remains fully committed to restoring peace, strengthening security, and rebuilding trust across Plateau State.

The videos coming out from Jos are horrific. God look me finish, create me put inside country whose entire design is to daily ragebait me. More people killed in one day, in one village - than in one year, in entire continents. Wartime numbers for a country not at war. Tsk.
