@NigelMercer @TheBMA If already retired, you have a very generous pension, merit awards were big, pensionable and continued to retirement, consultants were revered. None of this applies for future consultants. It’s about the future, not those who had a sweet deal.

The trainee members of the @TheBMA striking for 5 days over the summer when consultants are likely to be on leave and unable to cover them is running the risk of loosing the support of the consultants and severely endangering our patients and loosing public support.

@missmelosborne @FirstBSA I defer to your knowledge, being in the rail industry. Local paper suggests rail project going backwards. I read a seemingly cogent argument that rail link is sentimental & waste of ££. Just need an effective clean bus service. Back to you @FirstBSA 😆
