The day I knew I must become a specialist was the day a urologist walked in to my clinic, did a 6hr procedure and walked away with 900k.
That's more than my 2 months salary.
These days I don't moan when I hear of what other sectors are paying, I'm targeting the very top of mine.

You will think these hospitals don't have money to pay doctors 1 million plus till you find out that HR in the same hospital and finance people are going home with 1 million and more with corporate perks while you the clinical staff is labouring day in, day out, public holiday, Sundays, Christmas, whatever

Hehe, your omnipresence may be found to dwindle in your later years tho.
I actually hated group studies nor did I join any till my 5th year and it was strictly exam focused. All possible PQs, examinations, simulations, OSCE, OSPE, etc was what we majorly dealt with.
Not “reading together”, that’s trash lol.
