@raudiver + I’m promoting this artist. ‘RAUDIVER’ As a music scientist, I can tell you that some musicians just “have it”. I’m requesting you follow them. + On my top 30 NOW LIST, they were #16, but it’s not the number that matters, it’s the fact that you’ll listen to this band and say, “yeah they’re all right.” But then you’ll want to hear the song again. About 5 times later, you realize, “No… they’re better than just alright. They have it.” + The more you hear their music, the deeper the sensation tends to get. + In terms of music tactics, they do it all, but once you get beyond that and you’re expressing some new sensation that is affective, the tactics are just a foundation. + They put themselves under the ‘goth pop’ and ‘dark wave’ genre, but I actually don’t think this is the right genre label after hearing them for a few months, I might consider that they’ve gone down the RADIOHEAD road, treading through ‘Amnesiac’ and ‘KID A’ Tactics to reach a more gothic emotion rather than a depressing one. I might call their genre a kind of ‘Alternative Goth’. It doesn’t come off that way at first, you have to hear it a few times and then you realize that the band is a lot more different than it at first appears. + I’m really impressed by this group, their reveal is like a chameleon, you need to be exposed for the duration to realize the color change. + As a person who reviews music, the only music I don’t listen to is country. I can tell what a good country band is just by hearing the tactics in the sensation, but I can tell you I just do not like listening to country. I love listening to drum and bass Neurofunk specifically, all the electronic music is great, metal is awesome, hip-hop’s got some good stars out right now, there’s also a new genre of retro rock that is pretty awesome, but when I came across this specific band, I recognized immediately that they had all the tactics.
