Since he's not alive, there is no way to know if she is telling the truth. In India we are not taught to have difficult conversations either with parents or partners. The idealistic romantic view of relationship- the other will understand without me saying anything. If there is argument then the relationship is bad. Don't argue with elders. Men don't like argumentative wives! These kind of beliefs remove the possibility of healthy discourse in families. 1. Please enlighten what additional is given to vegetarian kids (in terms of money spent) to have equal nutrition ? 2. How are we defending that this privilege is not unequal ? Seeing a lot of discussion on eggs in midday meals. Tamil Nadu provides eggs daily to children using government funds. Karnataka provides eggs daily through the Azim Premji Foundation. I believe these are the only two states in India that provide eggs daily to school going children.

Why didn't she tell her parents? Unfortunately, this level of trust and communication cannot develop suddenly. Most parents in India just take care of the physical needs of children- food, shelter, education, and health. Emotional needs are never met, the gap between children and parents is huge, they see their parents pretending to be happy in loveless marriages, and often grow up believing that is the goal, and that's normal.+

Siya's mother in law said that she used to drink and she had even told her that drinking would not be acceptable in their family. Of course Siya's parents may have known that their daughter was out of control which may be why they arranged her marriage. But instead of running away with her boyfriend and having a court marriage the psychopath Siya chose to kill .
