Hey guys, I wanted to let everyone know that the SVS restock is being delayed until February. The injection mold company is reworking the mold to improve the quality of the parts. The initial production run for the pre-orders was admittedly a bit rushed, and there were some quality issues that I wasn't happy with, but I didn't want pre-order customers to have to wait more weeks or months, so we decided to send what we had. The main issue is with the end caps. The design analysis prior to milling the mold did not fully reveal how much the material shrink factor would distort the final parts. This is being addressed by reducing the thickness of various areas in the inner cavity of the part. They are also adjusting the draft angle of the exterior of the part to improve extraction without scratching the part. The injection molding company has agreed to remanufacture all of the end caps that have currently been sold, so if you have a pre-order you will be entitled to receive a replacement set of end caps once they are finished manufacturing them. I'll send out email notifications to all affected customers. As for the restock, once the new mold changes are done and tested I will have roughly 6000 modules available for sale. This is more inventory than any of the previous restocks so I am hopeful that these will last a little longer than usual.
