A 6-year-old girl remains in critical condition after being wounded in a Russian shelling of the Sumy region.
The child was hospitalized and has undergone surgery. Doctors are currently fighting for her life, consulting with specialists from the Okhmatdyt National Children's Hospital. Due to medical reasons, transportation is currently impossible.
Yesterday, around noon, the enemy shelled a settlement in the Znob-Novhorodske community. A residential building housing two sisters was hit.
🕯️Unfortunately, the 20-year-old girl was killed.
The younger sister sustained severe injuries. Their parents were also wounded; they have received necessary medical aid and are currently staying by their daughter’s side.
Sincere condolences to the family. We pray for the child’s life.

🇺🇦 17 more defenders from the Sumy region return from Russian captivity today.
They are among 300 Ukrainians released in the latest exchange.
Over the two days of exchange, 25 defenders from the Sumy region have already returned home.
Ukraine is doing everything possible to ensure every citizen returns home.

Another 300 Ukrainian defenders are returning home from Russian captivity. Two Ukrainian civilians were also successfully returned today. Among them are servicemembers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard, and our State Border Guard Service. Privates, sergeants, and officers. They defended Ukraine in various sectors – Donetsk, Luhansk, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, and in Mariupol. Most of them had been in captivity for more than a year, some since 2022. I thank all our warriors who ensure this result by replenishing the exchange fund for Ukraine. I thank the entire team that worked to achieve this result. I am grateful to the United States for their mediation. It is important that the agreements have worked. We remember everyone, and we must bring all our people home.

Ukrainians live under thousands of Russian strikes with various types of weapons. In the last week of winter alone, Russia used more than 1,720 attack drones, nearly 1,300 guided aerial bombs, and over 100 missiles of various types against Ukraine.
But despite everything, Ukrainians made it through this difficult winter, when Russia did not even try to seek justification for its bestial strikes on civilian critical infrastructure. Over the three months of winter, Russians launched more than 14,670 guided aerial bombs, 738 missiles, and nearly 19,000 attack drones – most of them Russian-Iranian “shaheds” – against our people. These are the same drones the Iranian regime is now launching against countries in the Middle East.
Evil must be confronted in every part of the world. When the United States and other partners show enough determination, even the bloodiest dictators ultimately pay for their crimes. I thank everyone who helps Ukraine defend itself and save lives.

❗️ Russian terror continues in #Sumy region. Today, enemy drones targeted an agricultural enterprise in the Shostka district.
Two women, aged 72 and 67, were killed while at work. Their bodies were pulled from the rubble. Another 60-year-old worker is in the hospital with severe injuries.
The strike effectively destroyed the facility's building. People were just doing their jobs. Deepest condolences to the families. 🕯️🇺🇦

In Kyiv met @DefensieMin. Onze eerste reis, met een duidelijke boodschap: we blijven Oekraïne steunen.
Ook in deze barre winter verdedigen Oekraïners hun land dapper tegen Rusland, en daarmee onze Europese vrijheid en waarden. Dat vergt grote offers.
Daarom legden we een krans.

Aan deze muur hangen de foto's van Oekraïense helden die het hoogste offer voor onze gezamelijke veiligheid hebben gebracht.
