@MaraInAmerica If that ideology had always prevailed, the world might have missed out on a great deal of progress and innovation.
Well, the U.S. wouldn't even have Elon without immigration— an immigrant from South Africa.
Grow up and accept changes positively!

@gavin_oreilly @LordPatrick0 If the US or UK had that mindset, we wouldn’t have had leaders like Obama or Rishi Sunak!

Heavenly Father,
I come before You with a humble heart. I confess my sins and ask for Your forgiveness. Thank You for Your mercy, grace, and love through Jesus Christ. Cleanse me from all unrighteousness, renew my heart, and help me walk in Your ways. Give me strength to turn away from sin and follow You faithfully each day.
In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen. 🙏

FYI to us Americans.
Northern Ireland remains a constituent country of the United Kingdom, having been created in 1921 when the island of Ireland was partitioned under British rule. While the rest of the island eventually achieved full independence as the Republic of Ireland, Northern Ireland stayed within the UK due to a historic, predominantly Protestant unionist majority.

@ill_Scholar The tri colour belongs to the Republic of Ireland 🇮🇪 , an entire different country woth a different government.
Northern Ireland is Part of the United Kingdom 🇬🇧 and British government is responsible for it.
Unfortunately sentiments dont change geography or borders.

Actually, ma'am the use of an Irish tricolor 🇮🇪 is entirely appropriate when discussing the north of Ireland

USMC Lady Vet 🇺🇸@Arkypatriot
If you’re standing with Belfast, it helps to know the flags. Belfast is in Northern Ireland, which is part of the United Kingdom — not the Republic of Ireland. So no, the Republic of Ireland flag doesn’t belong in a graphic about standing with Belfast.

@SovereignMindsX the country who doesnt stand for their own Canadian neighbours in the north will stand for Ireland and UK ? LOL
Americans only want to divide the European continent. they helped UK exit the EU
Now they targeting Ireland
Divide and Rule in the name of unity, free speech, etc!

@irishpatriot91 Ireland is for Irish
Belfast is UK.
Sentiments dont change geography or borders!

@WyoOldBull @LordTerra759 yeah just like how Canada occupies the North and they wana call it USA !
English

They're all just trying to support the movement. A lot of Americans consider the entire island Ireland because they don't care if the UK occupies the north: it's still Ireland.
Don't mistake confused terminology with a lack of support. We all support what the brave patriots in Belfast are doing, regardless of people accidentally crediting Irish Sinn Fein traitors for the actions of the Northern Irish patriots.
Americans aren't taught all of that. We have to go learn it on our own and most of us don't really pursue additional learning when it comes to other countries history.
So I would like to apologize if my fellow Americans have accidentally credited the IRA for the bravery of Belfast. They don't mean to offend you. They mean to support you and glorify you. They just don't know the difference.
