My son asked me to look at his Minecraft bridge he built. I came over and he sat on me, showed me his bridge, and kept building. I put my hand over his heart. I felt my own heart ache as I recalled my own childhood, absent of a father that was there for me, really there. In both a moment of sweetness and heartache, the timeline began to heal itself. I said I need to go back to work. He whispered out a cute okay (I'm satisfied with he connection time, I know I'm loved). I'm back to work checking off boxes. He's right here next to me. My love for him, is healing the inner wounds I carry. And I feel the wounds of this world. The missing love that so many of us never had. I love you ❤️.
