@AREGames_Tweets $100 is not a lot of money for an actual quality map especially of that size, so it'd be risky to hire anyone for that budget and expect anything significant to come out of it.

This actually just happened to me (I won’t leak the dev) [Part 2] Lets say you: > Paid 30,000 R$ up front for this map > Gave detailed concepts provided for the work > The developer agreed and confirmed they were capable of meeting the concept by the deadline Then after 2 weeks this was what was delivered... What would you do? #RobloxDev #Roblox #RobloxUGC

@EvanZir Imo it honestly makes sense though, like they say in that post as well, you are forced to actually make costs now in order to abuse. If the metrics they tracked we're just 'F2P' it would be significantly easier for people with bad intentions to bypass these safety measures.

Roblox has made another post clarifying what a “highly engaged player” is “a highly engaged player must meet requirements on account tenure, playtime in your game, and platform spend to qualify. Users who meet the criteria for "platform spend" have made a minimum purchase anywhere on Roblox in the last 60 days and have spent time in your game within that same window.” wow.

Insane, Roblox just said publicly that a “highly engaged player” is someone who has spent a considerable amount of money on the platform in the last 60 days. Genuinely insane. This explains why highly monetized games are hitting it so much faster. Credit to @TheNexusAvenger for finding this

@_em1li4_ @fabuss254Dev Well I mean, the vast majority of people interested in that are 16+ anyways. So the amount of slop/inappropriate games that will be blocked off by this are worth the tradeoff no?

@slungpy @fabuss254Dev what if it's a game designed to be played once, like a showcase or tech demo, even a game that's meant to be an experience you can only really enjoy once, for example: oobja

Welp, I don't post often but this is just too much. Literally no indie developers on Roblox can achieve that amount of "Highly Engaged Players" because those aren't CCU or Visit, but players that stays and come back in the game a lot over multiple days. We, Roblox Developers, makes games for people to play them, if we can't have people play our game, what's the point of making games? The barrier of entry is official way higher than any other platforms...
KreekCraft@KreekCraft

It looks like Roblox is restricting all games to Ages 16+ by default. To reach younger players your game needs at least 500 unique age-verified 16+ players in the past 30 days. Otherwise your game stays locked to Ages 16+

@s8box So ur saying that on ur platform you can punish creators for making 'generic slop' (extremely vague on what that factually means) thus can handpick/control who 'wins' on ur platform. Nice, not joining.

We're punishing AI thumbnails - if your game looks like generic slop, it'll rank lower 📉 We also talk about our Steam reviews 🫠 Plus FSR3 upscaling, a big physics update, review tag filtering and way more. sbox.game/news/update-26…

If an AI plugin is actually good what does it matter? How does it being made with AI affect your workflow? If it works it works.

seeing a lot of Roblox plugins being sold for real money lately that were very obviously made with AI .. biggest side eye ever.. you can tell because they make them fast, and they all have the same look / style you should be disclosing it was created with AI so people know what they're buying

Imagine a developer donates 1,000 robux to a player. That player then donates it to a friend, and this happens 3 more times. That 5th player is left with 77 robux. Hazem received 230 robux, Roblox received the rest. The limits of the new transfer feature are ridiculous but lets not pretend PLS DONATE was ever about giving back to the players
hazem@haz3m_

Roblox is removing cross-game gamepass sales and forcing a $5/month requirement just to donate, with a 1,000 Robux monthly limit. This will kill PLS DONATE. PLS DONATE is built around cross-game gamepass sales, a system that’s free for players and has no limits. Removing it doesn’t just change things, it kills the game completely. I wasn’t made aware of this change before it was announced. No warning, no chance to give my input or feedback before they announce this change. I’ve been developing on this platform since I was 12 and have always loved making games on Roblox, so seeing something this impactful happen overnight without real consideration is genuinely upsetting. This means a lot to me and I’m really sad about this. The solution Roblox gave us is the Transfer API, which really isn’t a solution and still affects us heavily. It’s locked behind a $5/month subscription, capped at 1,000 Robux per month, and under-18 users require parental approval for EVERY SINGLE transaction. That completely changes the experience. If transferring Robux is going to be paid, gamepasses need to coexist. Removing them ruins everything and doesn’t stop bad actors from just purchasing through the site anyway. It doesn’t make sense. I really don’t want to build hatred toward this platform. I love Roblox and still believe in it, and if it truly cares about its developers, I’m sure there are better solutions that keep users safe without killing our game. @Roblox @DavidBaszucki
