they were supposed to pick my daughter up. instead… they never showed up. my little girl spent the whole weekend dressed and waiting by the front door, wondering why her dad wasn’t coming. it broke my heart. so I texted him asking what happened. his girlfriend answered instead. she actually told me they skipped the visit because one of her friends was having a birthday party… and my daughter could “see him next time.” then she said she didn’t want me texting “her husband” anymore and sent me her number instead. the saddest part? her father goes along with all of it. I still can’t believe a parent would let someone else come between them and their own child.

I divorced my daughter’s father two years ago. he’s dated a few people since then, but his current girlfriend has completely crossed the line. she’s decided that anything involving my daughter has to go through her. I laugh so I don’t cry. this weekend was the worst.

People always say Targaryen madness is just because of all the inbreeding. But I've been thinking, what if it's something more?
