What evidence is there that young women experiencing gender dysphoria will die if their healthy breasts are not surgically removed? I ask because multiple comments on my posts about the Lush mastectomy-scar window display imply that objecting to the celebration of "top surgery" is somehow putting vulnerable young people at risk. Of course, young people with gender dysphoria can experience profound distress, self-harm and suicidal thoughts. This needs to be taken seriously. But there is a world of difference between acknowledging that distress and claiming that breast removal is life-saving. The Cass Review concluded that claims that gender-affirming treatment reduces suicide risk are not supported by the evidence. Professor Sir Louis Appleby, the Government's adviser on suicide prevention, has similarly warned against misleading claims in this area. So is there any robust evidence showing that healthy breasts must be removed in order to prevent suicide? Or have frightened parents and vulnerable teenagers been presented with a false choice: surgery or death? Because if that claim is untrue, then people really must stop repeating it. Distressed young people need reassurance, compassion and evidence-based care - not fear and emotional blackmail.

Not a single man on earth has ever "lived as a woman." Tucking your penis between your legs, having it removed or inverted, hiding your past history as a man, demanding people call you a woman, fighting for access to women's spaces, getting facial feminization surgery, doing voice training and having your vocal chords shaved, and discovering you're a "woman" through reddit is not how women live.

The biggest lie ever believed was that a person could be born in the wrong body. The medical industrial complex is very happy with the results.

I dont “identify as” a woman, I dont “want to be” a woman, I AM a woman. My dysphoria isnt “self hatred” or “internalized transphobia”. I’m not “conforming to gender roles” by transitioning. The patriarchy hates to see a trans woman transition. It is not subversive not to.
