I am delighted to announce that my debut book, Champion Thinking: How to Find Success Without Losing Yourself, will be out on January 18th 2024... and is now available for pre-order. Published by Bloomsbury, it draws on my conversations with the likes of Jonny Wilkinson, Caitlyn Jenner, Goldie Sayers, Emotional Intelligence author and psychologist Daniel Goleman and philosopher Rupert Spira. I get sent a lot of books about being successful for the Life Lessons podcast. But why do people desire success so much? Wealth? Approval? Status? One thing is definitely clear. ‘Success’ is not synonymous with peace, happiness and fulfilment. Many people have climbed their proverbial Everest only to be left feeling empty. It didn’t provide the lasting internal satisfaction that they were really seeking. So, where is true and lasting fulfilment to be found if not in trophies, winning, the big house, fat pay cheque and ‘success’? This is what I really wanted to explore, because I think there is a big gap in the way we view this sort of thing culturally, and I want to shine a light on it. In Champion Thinking, I argue that we are looking in the wrong direction and what we are really seeking is so close that we tend to overlook it. I’m really proud of this book, and super excited that it will soon be out in the world. Please do like and share this post if you feel so inclined – I would be very grateful. And if you resonate with any of the above – let me know in the comments below 🙏
