St John's Community Police Officer

Me and some of the Community Policing team joined up with DVS and a great turnout of St John's Honorary Police Officers this morning to conduct a defective vehicle road check. 36 drivers/riders spoken to by DVS & Police officers for various defects, insurance and PTI issues.

Had the pleasure of patrolling this weekend with some of St John's Honorary Police newest members. Some speed/road checks resulted in several drivers being warned about speed and one defective vehicle removed from the road. Great working with our Honorary colleagues as always!

While checking out the Ronez Loop Road today following up on various concerns from parishioners, I couldn't help but stop to capture a quick pic. ☀️😎 this is why I love community policing! p.s. I didn't take the opportunity to practice my response driving on the track 😉

High visibility speed check conducted in St John's village around the end of the school day, assisted by @stbreladecom1 Lots of great feedback from members of the community & several drivers spoken to for a number of traffic issues including speed. 👮‍♂️🛑

PC Bolton was out with me this afternoon patrolling Langley Park/Ave responding to residents reports of antisocial behaviour. We spoke with residents to offer reassurance & engaged with education staff who were supporting our efforts.

To raise awareness of vehicle related crime, PC Tierney helped me out with placing a few posters around the parish. We'd always advise locking your car, removing keys, and hiding valuables. 🔒🚗🔑👜

Conducted a speed check by this bend this morning. If you know, you know. If you don't... it's because there's been a few accidents here. No speeders today, but definitely a bend to take it easy on. (Rue a Don).

Spent this morning with @GovJersey Disability & Inclusion Team & people from the Deaf & HoH community learning about upcoming expansion of the @SignVideo service. Great that Gov services are being made more accessible. Hopeful that this can be extended to emergency services soon!

Following a meeting with the great team at @JsyYouthService St John's Youth Project, I took a spin round Sorel and was greeted with this picturesque scene of the sun setting over the Channel Islands.

@tombrossman @AndyJehan @Honorary_Police Hi @tombrossman, Thanks for the invite. I cycle commute for work fairly regularly, so I have experienced this kind of impatience myself. We have access to e-bikes as part of the community team, but people tend to behave when they see us cycling in our police gear.

Community Impact Day, tackling anti social driving around the island following complaints from a number of parishes. Many drivers have been stopped and a number of offences dealt with. Thank you to our honorary colleagues @StPeterHonPol for their support.

Popped over to St. Ouen this afternoon to assist @RNLIJersey lifeguards reunite a lost child with their parents. They did a great job looking after the kid & kept them safe until they were reunited with their very grateful family. Good work guys!
