The R.M. Of Sherwood office has been vandalized following the controversial approval of a data centre.

@Sharona67 @AlexanderQuon So far it's the Sharon Christie rule. You asked Alex why they had the 3rd meeting right after the 2nd meeting and no day(s) between. His response was they can have the 3rd right after the 2nd if there was a unanimous vote to approve in the 2nd.

My favourite part of reporting out this piece was asking the government to respond to complaints about a lack of transparency and having them highlight that the project "proceeded to a significant degree under the previous council."

@Sharona67 @AlexanderQuon Sorry my question to Alexander (he may not have answer) was secondary to your question on timing of 3rd meeting. It's sort of important that there was unanimous vote otherwise it may conflict with a rule ?

However, one of the biggest flags in this process is having 4 ppl (Reeve & 3 councillors) RESIGN after the Mar 16 mtg!! While they gave reasons, it’s suspicious that 4 ppl RESIGNED after the Bell anncmt. #yqr

@Sharona67 @AlexanderQuon If we are speculating on why they quit I'm going out on a limb and say they got so much push back by their taxpayers (after March announcement by Bell) and maybe other people not governed by the RM of Sherwood to the point they resigned instead of being accountable ?

The first reading on the re-zoning bylaw was on Jan. 19, and the agenda makes no mention of it being related to an AI data centre. On Feb. 19, it took less than an hour for the public hearing and the votes on the second and third reading of the bylaw to be passed.

@KeyOfBart Looks like hypocrisy by the Sask NDP ? ...they are demanding rent control at the moment but in 1992 the Sask NDP abolished it saying it doesn't work. And sold a Crown asset in 2007 while campaigning that SKparty if elected would sell some Crown Assets. Politics is funny.
