@lit_phins Malik HAS to be HIM for this to be 2-3 year rebuild which is what I predict. If Malik is just average this will be a long 4-5 year rebuild People r only focused on THIS team we have to realize we have Allen n Maye to deal with for 6-8+ more years! We NEED to hit on a QB soon!

What makes this rebuild unique from the other is that they went and bought a hopefully franchise QB right away. Other than that, this is the youngest team in the league with no cap space. Absolutely moronic to start heavily judging what is at least a 2-3 year build.

@lit_phins @ckparrot @SilverHawk05 Yea I’m trying to figure out what the point of that was. They got size at the positions teams mainly want size and that’s the line and WR. That didn’t require an essay.

@ckparrot @SilverHawk05 That was way too much effort spent saying that Miami got a monster at o-line and then upgraded their size at WR. The other positions are clearly not huge guys, but more so great athletes.

This isn't a criticism of Miami's strategy, so please don't interpret as such. It's more clearing up what I feel is a growing misperception within the fans & media. SO FAR, Miami's "get bigger" strategy lives almost exclusively within their OL prototyping. It's not universal. As it pertains to the draft... - Chris Johnson (6003 & 193 lbs. with 6'4" wingspan) is kind of average size for what the NFL goes for at that CB position. - Jacob Rodriguez (6013 & 231 lbs. with 6'3" wingspan) is legit small for his archetype (three-down Mike LB). - Caleb Douglas is a "slim reaper" because while he does boast 6'4" height and an astounding 6'9" wingspan, he's only 206 lbs. dripping wet and probably played at a lower weight than that. There's a reason his scouting reports generally say "needs to gain strength". - Will Kacmarek seems large for a TE at 6056 & 261 lbs. with a 6'8" wingspan, and I don't want to diminish that, but his phenotype is an inline-Y who is the team's blocking specialist at the position, not expected to do terribly a lot in the passing game. You must recognize that other teams often fill that role either literally with a 6th offensive lineman, or an abnormally large TE who approaches that level of size. So Kacmarek is NOT particularly big for that role. - Trey Moore (6015 & 243 lbs. with 6'6" wingspan) figures to play some off-ball LB (where he's very average-sized) as well as Edge (where he's highly undersized). - Kyle Louis (5117 & 220 lbs. with 6'4" wingspan) is HIGHLY undersized for a LB position and it's why he went so low. He will moonlight a little bit as a box safety, where he will be kind of average-sized for a box safety specialist, maybe a little on the larger (but not taller) side. - Michael Taaffe (5117 & 190 lbs. with a 6'1" wingspan) is small for a safety. Just plain small. Not ideal. - Kevin Coleman Jr. (5102 & 179 lbs. with a 6'2" wingspan) is small-ish, even by Slot WR standards. - Seydou Traore (6036 & 244 lbs. with a 6'8" wingspan) is on the small side, even for a Move Tight End who won't be counted on as a Y. - Max Llewelyn (6055 & 258 lbs. with a 6'6" wingspan) is about bang-average for an Edge on the whole, as he's probably a little on the tall side, average on the weight side, and small on the arm length/wingspan side. Now, on the other hand... - Kadyn Proctor (6065 & 352 lbs. with a 6'10" wingspan) is a massive human at any offensive line position. - DJ Campbell (6030 & 319 lbs. with a 6'10" wingspan) is on the larger side for an interior OL, particularly weight & wingspan. - Chris Bell (6017 & 222 lbs. with a 6'5" wingspan) is definitely on the bigger side for a WR, particularly his thickness. So when I put together that 2 of the 3 bigger-than-normal guys were OLs, and then I look at the free agent signee Jamaree Salyer as well (6030 & 325 lbs. with 6'8" wingspan), I think this is mostly an OL thing. I'm sure you could look all this up on Mockdraftable.com and the percentiles would generally agree with me, although you'd have to be more nuanced with e.g. the difference between a Slot WR and a Perimeter WR, the difference between a Y Tight End and a Move Tight End, etc.

I can list various bad calls from Clayton McCullough this season. I’m struggling to recall one single good call. Feels like Clayton McCullough is holding back this Marlins group.

A lot of fans are starting to get it now. If you’re still crying, let me just say that it’s pretty sad. This is coming from one of the most negative, pessimistic, Anti-Homer accounts on here. We just had a Grierless draft that brought in a solid foundation. More hope than ever.

@Montrealdolfan @lit_phins You’re a bust fan, for the ALL part. Find a new team to spread your useless negativity towards. When this team is contending don’t come around and act like you’re a real fan you’re a poser. Have you ever even been to a Dolphins game??

@sunagod76 @lit_phins If you knew the game as you say you do you’d realize I’m talking long term. We have no one, therefore most draft picks will play with a good majority probably being starters this year, DUGH!!!. Long term this class will be a bust for the most part.

@Montrealdolfan @lit_phins “for the most part” nice way to TRY and save urself with that pea sized brain. That’s another dumb statement! You can say ANY team that drafts 10 plus players there’s a chance that some will be practice squad players 😂 again sit back relax and wait to see what happens sparky

@sunagod76 @lit_phins As a fan you’re allowed to criticize your team and form an opinion. Maybe you’re not capable or you enjoy mediocrity and jizzed at every draft pick but I didn’t. Outside of the 1st round all we acquired for the most part are practice squad players.

Ya’ll really be judging the youngest team in the league with no cap space. That’s wild. Ya’ll asked for this. We gotta start this shit over once again and make sure it’s done correctly this time for sustained success.

@Montrealdolfan @lit_phins 😂😂😂🤡 some “fans”will always be miserable lol. Team could’ve had 15 first round picks and people would still find a reason to complain about each player picked. Professional evaluators are giving the team A or B draft grades but twitter-X GM’s still complain. Find a new team!

@lit_phins I just don’t see it, sorry. The draft took a nosedive after the first round. If I didn’t know Grier was fired I’d 100% think it was him making the picks. There’s a few guys that have potential but for the most part they were lottery picks, prayers up hoping they hit.

Sully drafting every eligible player from Texas so in case Malik Willis doesn’t pan out we’ve got the full recruiting squad ready for Arch Manning. He’s playing the long game.

@miamiallin @KingOfPhinland No, not necessarily. He said “the full recruiting squad” would be ready for Arch. You don’t need a “recruiting squad” to draft a player. Free agent, sure a recruiting squad helps, draft no other players can “recruit” a draft pick.

@VBSofficial_ You’re right. 2023 was their “Russ release cap hit year” Which is Miami’s year this year. Then they made playoffs in 2024. Puts Miami exactly on that track for 2027 - this is Miami’s “Russ release year”. Good take.
