While the quality of the live-action remakes definitely vary, I think they’ve made some excellent ones. I personally loved Cinderella, Christopher Robin, Beauty and the Beast, and Aladdin.

It’s bad enough that a big chunk of Hollywood decision makers so clearly see animation as a lesser-form of filmmaking, but it’s so much worse that *this* is what they want to do with those stories instead

Pete's Dragon, a forgotten Disney remake, is actually really good. One of the other reasons why it's charming is not just the relationship between Pete and the Dragon, but also it has Robert Redford. That's it.

I expected to hate this but somehow Dwayne Johnson’s live action Maui has failed to meet even my rock bottom expectations. He looks laughably bad every second he’s on screen in this trailer

disney adapting underrated films into live-action should have been the goal of the remakes rather than remaking already hit films. remember when there was news of a live-action sword in the stone? i would have killed for that. and a P&TF remake with more human!tiana and new songs

Princess & The Frog could single handedly be the most successful Disney live action since Cinderella, yet Disney refuses to create one? The average PTF gets 100k likes at minimum on TikTok. The audience CRAVES it.
