Another incredible episode of Ted Lasso, but what is going on with the inconsistent grading and exposure levels from shot to shot? It’s dark, it’s light. It’s moody and cinematic, it’s bright and sitcom-y. Still laughed, still cried. Thank you, fuck you.

@VerbalDiorama Most effective use of the Texas Switch in cinema. We discussed this shot as part of our Cinnovations series on cinematic make up history. Love that the first full color shot in the film is a bit of set design, costume, and make up faking a monochromatic look.

What's your favourite scene in The Wizard of Oz? For me, it's always this... the transition from sepia to Technicolor always blows my mind. It's up there with some of the best practical effects ever put to screen, for me, despite its simplicity.
