My immediate younger sister studied Medicine & Surgery at UNILAG (Medilag). It took us 2 years to secure even the barest placement for her housemanship; in fact, it was not until after 3 years that she got with University of Ibadan Teaching Hospital (UITH). Before then, she cried & almost chose $u!c!d£ as the next option. After that, she proceed for NYSC, rounded off, later, & got offer at Gbagada General. While working there, her take-home pay couldn’t even cover her secondary needs, she opted for a Data Analytics course, romanced her PC from time to time like she was starting life afresh. All to the glory of God, she wrote the required exams and moved to the UK. She has now been a registered doctor there for three years within the UK healthcare system. Nigeria pushed her to the wall, the system almost broke her, we surrounded her like a broom until she left for b@d.
