After talking to residents in Bridge last weekend, our @IpswichLabour team moved 'next door' to Stoke Park today. Thank you to everyone who took the time to speak to us. We had some really important conversations and it is exactly why we are out talking to people all year round.

Years of inertia re. the Orwell Bridge and a Northern Bypass is hurting Ipswich and Suffolk. That's why I'm urging the Government to elevate it out of the local political quagmire, and give it the attention it deserves by designating it as nationally significant infrastructure.

@Suff_highways When will this meet your intervention criteria? When the cold weather hits, water freezes? On-going for months, and wasn't dealt with during the recent round of work along that road. Residents are rightly concerned about safety for all road users. @tblacker7

Was listening to a topic about child poverty today and how there are 150,000 kids who leave school everyday and don’t have a proper home to go to. Anyway big protest tomorrow to try and make sure kids getting a free farm worth more than 3 million don’t pay any tax on it 👍

I want to thank @tblacker7 for the work he did helping a resident, the resident explaned how he and his family have a positive future because of the work Tony did and it's helped restore faith for someone that people can make a difference

I got speaking to a guy through a project I'm involved with who had mistrust of local authorities after some bad experiences,he trusted me to tell me the issues and I took the case work to his Cllr, just received a very emotional call from the guy saying it's resolved

The right to peaceful protest is an incredibly important part of any functioning democracy. When you pick up a brick, set light to a building, beat up bystanders or attack the police it is no longer peaceful protest. It is thuggery. We are better than this.
