في الذكرى العشرين لاغتيال الكاتب والصحافي سمير قصير، فاز الصحافي السوري خليل العشاوي بجائزة سمير قصير لحرية الصحافة عن فئة التقرير الإخباري السمعي - البصري. يشارك العشاوي تجربته من خلال تقريره "سوريا: أطفال في حرب مستمرة"، الذي سلط الضوء فيه على معاناة الأطفال السوريين بعد سقوط نظام الأسد، من الفقر والعمالة إلى غياب التعليم والرعاية الصحية. رحلة العشاوي من المنفى إلى دمشق، حيث صوّر تقريره بعد 14 عاماً من المنع، ثم إلى بيروت لتسلّم الجائزة، تختصر وجع جيل سوري بكامله، وتحمل رسالة أمل وانتصار معنوي لحرية الصحافة ولكل من فقد حياته من أجل الكلمة. @khalelashawe @FrontlineInFocu @tinyhand5

Three stories of three children from different regions in Syria will be published consecutively. Each story reveals the lasting impact of war still visible in the lives of Syria’s children after Assad’s fall.

This is Ward Jalal Al-Sheikh Khalil, the only survivor of an Israeli airstrike that hit Fahmi Al-Jarjawi School in #Gaza with 4 incendiary missiles. Her entire family was killed, along with nearly 30 others—many of them women and children. 11 were from one family.
