SOURCE: Tim Pernetti is expected to become the next commissioner of the American Athletic Conference. Pernetti, the president of IMG College, has been a top target of the AAC for some time since Mike Aresco's announced retirement and the two sides are close to finalizing a deal. The former Rutgers AD was a finalist for the Big 12 commissioner opening back in 2022. @RossDellenger first on the expected deal.

Like it or not, NCAA Tournament will be expanded When it does, here's win/win 72 Teams total: Go from 4 play-in games to 8 All 16 teams in the 8 "play-in" games should be bubble teams. No 16 Seed or AQ should ever have to play in a play in game. Protects AQ's + Grows field

If an ISU coach mopped the floor, they’d be calling it the most bad ass move in the history of coaching. They’d be so ex-CY-ted about it. Raygun would make shirts about it. There’d be a beer called “Mop It Up IPA”. You’d see tweets that said “ Hang it in the Louvre” and whatnot.

@ChrisVannini @PeterBurnsESPN I'd be all-in on this if the one-bid leagues' regular-season champ auto qualified. I still largely favor it but I'm not as much of an advocate for a 17-17 5th-place finisher that won its tourney. Maybe there's a balance w/ 12 at-larges & 4 lowest qualifiers via league tourney.

White Sox lose, 7-3. Finish 2024 Cactus League action with a 9-20-3 record. They play Triple-A Charlotte in an exhibition Monday morning at Camelback Ranch and then back to Chicago.
