@scaryfish Ah, got it. Mine are pretty ROM-specific, so not great as general GBC tools. I've published the more generic ones on RHDN and GitHub, but they’re still mostly oriented to romhacking. Making something more general-purpose wouldn’t be a bad idea, actually.

@toruzz Ah, I didn't realise it was tied into the ROM. I'm basically just after a decent GBC graphics tool.

Absolutely loving my current dev environment. Working hard to finish this, believe it or not. I hope it'll be worth all the delays.

Remember that cool SGB border I made for SML2DX (and never released)? Marc updated his awesome border injector with a beautiful gallery and now you can insert it into your original or DX roms!

I just wrote a simple web service to restore the screenshot sharing functionality that Nintendo removed some years ago in Wii U. No console modification needed, the magic is done by the web browser!

@sfc_moogle Man, I wish I could tell you there's something on the way, but this is honestly the kind of thing that never gets out of the experimentation phase. I'd really love to still see it realized someday though.

@toruzz Do you have any additional details about this project? Pretty excited for anything Satellaview-related.

In short, having an open, "standard" for repos of romhacks that include the bare minimum of metadata and version control has the potential to make downloading pre-patched ROMs a thing of the past. Let me know if you think something like this would be interesting! (7/7)

We'd miss centralized features like ratings or download counters (or would we?), but a resilient, user-driven system anyone can implement would be worth it. Including checksums for source & target ROMs (plus revisions) would do wonders to prevent confusion and corruption. (6/7)

I've been thinking about how romhack distribution could work in an ideal, post-RHDN world. Right now, there are so many friction points - getting & applying patches is cumbersome for users, and often they don't even know how to deal with ROM versions, patch formats, etc. (1/7)
