Eight years later, in 2012, Swedish DJ and producer Otto Knows sampled Jean’s “Million Voices” in his own electronic song of the same name.

One of the songs that appears in the movie, “Million Voices,” was co-written and performed by Haitian rapper and producer Wyclef Jean, with the emotional track earning a Golden Globe nomination for Best Original Song.

Over two decades later, portions of a song from the film — “Tere Mere Beech Mein” — was sampled by Swedish songwriting and production duo Bloodshy & Avant to create Britney Spears’ hit song “Toxic.”

“Ek Duuje Ke Liye” (“Made For Each Other”) is a romantic tragedy released in 1981. A classic Bollywood film, it was one of the highest grossing Indian films in the year of its release. The story revolves around a pair of lovers, whose love is forbidden by their families.
