Another alarming example of this inhumane treatment is the emergency surgery performed on Bushra Bibi’s right eye due to severe pain, as confirmed by her daughter. Today, Bushra Bibi’s family was called to Adiala Jail from Lahore at 9:00 AM, but they were only allowed a limited one-hour meeting at 12:00 PM. After the meeting, her daughter confirmed that Bushra Bibi had to be rushed to the hospital due to unbearable pain in her right eye, where an immediate surgery on her right retina was carried out. This conduct is not only inhumane but also a blatant violation of fundamental human rights and the worst form of political victimization, where a former elected Prime Minister and his wife are deliberately being deprived of medical facilities to subject them to mental and physical suffering. Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf demands that Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi be immediately provided with complete and proper medical care and be granted immediate access to their personal doctors. Furthermore, in light of her current medical condition, Bushra Bibi must be immediately shifted to a hospital and, as a woman, be granted statutory bail without delay. In the unfortunate event of any further deterioration in their health, the entire responsibility will lie with the current government and the concerned authorities.
