The Dept of Emergency Medicine held its Research Retreat, “Quest for a Research Question”. Participants collaboratively developed a manuscript titled “Mortality due to Emergency Medical Diseases in Pakistan” through a uniquely designed group activity using GBD data.

Remarkable presentation of trauma and injury capacity building legacy of about 20 years with more than 40 fellows trained at the FIC trauma network meeting. Honored to be part of this journey.

The screams of this child are the screams of #FatimaFariro before she died in front of our eyes, on CCTV …. The screams of #Zainab and hundreds of thousands of other children. Some who survive the rape and abuse, and many who don’t. These screams haunt my nights. These screams curse our nation and every heart who forgets them. Please hear this scream and prevent this from happening to more children! #SAFEGUARDING is a foreign concept in Pakistan. Learn it. Practice it! Enforce it. Especially for children who are not treated as if they are significant and who are DENIED THEIR RIGHT TO MENTAL HEALTH AND DIGNITY
