AC/DC Album Ranking from Worst to Best #10: For Those About To Rock (1981) Getting the top ten started (and perhaps the controversy😂) We have one of the most famous follow up albums of all time. Notice how I didn’t say one of the best…😂 I am NOT saying this is a bad album, FAR from it. What I’m saying is this album…is not as memorable as it could’ve of been. Now, it had the misfortune of having perhaps the toughest act to follow EVER, but that’s doesn’t excuse the somewhat lack luster songwriting, here in my opinion. I’m sorry, but a good amount of this album just isn’t memorable. There’s a reason the title track is just about the only song most people remember. This album to me is half bangers, half filler. And maybe what we decide which is which are different. But it all feels the same. An album that just didn’t strike the same chord as the previous. I’m sorry but I think the title track drags on too long. It’s a good song. But it keeps going and going with that DAMN chorus. ITS ANNOYING!😂 the next two songs ‘I Put My Finger On You’ and ‘Let’s Get It Up’ are ridiculous songs. And it’s crazy that the latter song was a DAMN SINGLE😂 ‘Inject The Venom’ and ‘Snowballed’ are KILLER SONGS! Maybe the two best on the album! ‘Evil Walks’ is a pretty ballsy track too. Then my next highlight doesn’t come until almost at the end with ‘Night Of The Long Knives’. That song almost has a Heavy Metal feel to it and I LOVE belting that chorus out!😂 Overall, I know this album sold a lot of copies and is seen as a classic. For me, it’s a good album, just not great. In all honesty, don’t go back to it very often. Only to the songs I like. This may seem like it’s too low on the ranking, but look at the bigger picture. There are A LOT of albums (and maybe some you won’t expect) that are better than this. Just…hear me out…😂
