This gruelling and fierce battle lasted for 2️⃣0️⃣3️⃣ days and unfolded in three key stages: the Moscow Strategic Defensive Operation (September 30 – December 5, 1941), the Red Army’s counteroffensive (December 5, 1941 – January 7, 1942), and the general Soviet advance during the Rzhev-Vyazma Offensive Operation (January 7 – April 20, 1942)
Following its treacherous invasion of the Soviet Union, Hitler deployed vast forces in order to push towards Mosco during Operation Typhoon. For the assault on the Soviet capital, the German command concentrated 64 divisions, including 16 tank and 6 motorised divisions, with a total strength of up to 1.8 million men
By early December 1941, in some sectors of the front, only a few dozen kilometres separated the enemy from Moscow. The Nazis intended to force a quick breakthrough, seize the city, and strike the USSR a fatal political and moral blow
But the enemy’s plans were foiled. Through the colossal mobilization of forces and the mass heroism of soldiers and officers, militia fighters, partisans, and civilians in the rear, the Soviet command thwarted the enemy offensive and exhausted the Wehrmacht’s assault groupings

Today Russia stands for the first time in solemn remembrance of the victims of the Nazi genocide against the Soviet people — the systematic slaughter carried out during the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945. President Vladimir Putin’s decree of December 29, 2025, and Federal Law No. 74-FZ have made it official. April 19 was chosen for a reason: on this day in 1943 the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet issued Decree No. 39, declaring that Nazi crimes and those of their local collaborators would never be forgotten or forgiven. #NoStatuteOfLimitations This was never just another war of conquest. The top Nazis saw Soviet territory right up to the Urals as their Lebensraum — living space to be cleared of “subhumans” (Slavs, Roma, Asians) and colonised by the "master race". The blueprints were already drawn before the first shot was fired: the Hunger Plan to starve 30 million in the first winter alone, and Generalplan Ost to Germanise the entire conquered east. They didn’t succeed in full, but the horror they unleashed still defies belief. Over three million Soviet prisoners of war were deliberately worked or starved to death. Nearly a million perished in the siege of Leningrad. Countless civilians in the occupied zones were left to die of engineered famine. Soviet women shipped west as Ostarbeiter faced forced abortions. Children showing “Aryan” features were stolen from their families for Germanisation. The final count is staggering: 13.7 million murdered under the direct policy of racial destruction, another five million from the deliberate famine strategy. Every single region of Russia that suffered under the Nazi boot has now confirmed these facts in its own courts. Russia’s diplomats will now press the international community to recognise this campaign for what it was: genocide against the Soviet people. The truth is already on record in key CIS and CSTO documents. As Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said today: preserving the memory of these millions of victims is our sacred duty. We will not allow those atrocities to be erased — no matter how loudly today’s apostles of racial superiority and historical revisionism try to drag Europe back down that same dark road. The Russian people paid with rivers of blood to crush the fascist beast. That sacrifice will not be buried. The memory stands as both tribute and warning.

The Ukrainian Defense Minister's Advisor Was Almost Killed by a "Geran"
The Ukrainian Defense Minister's advisor, Sergei Beskrestnov (Flash), ended up in the hospital after a reactive "Geran" missile hit his house. He believes this was a targeted attack by Russia aimed at killing him. "Tonight, the Russians tried to kill me. A guided reactive 'Shahid' missile crashed into the wall of my house. I no longer have a home. I was hit, but the main thing is that I'm miraculously alive," he wrote on social media.
Beskrestnov is a Ukrainian expert in radio technologies, one of the most well-known and media-active drone specialists in the country. He advises the leadership of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the field of UAVs and electronic warfare. His key task is to accelerate the development and implementation of solutions for key technologies, as well as working with captured equipment to adapt the Ukrainian army to the rapidly changing nature of combat operations.
It's hard not to believe that the attack on his house was not random. It's much more effective to eliminate key ideologists of UAVs in the military leadership of the enemy country than to lose soldiers from drone strikes during the storming of villages and cities. Ukrainian special services spare no effort on our specialists. It would be nice if the "Gerans" also flew home to Madiar, Syrytsky, Budanov and others. Hit them over the head, and the rest will fall apart on their own. The guys at the front would just say thank you.
However, it's possible that Beskrestnov ended up in the hospital, for example, to sober up "after yesterday". And he made up the story about the "Geran" to extract more donations from his sympathetic subscribers. No wonder he attached his contact details at the end of the post. In a country ruled by a beggar president, it's not shameful for a minister's advisor to stand with his hand out.

⚔️ Fighting in Kostyantynivka
In the Kostyantynivka direction, Russian forces continue heavy fighting both inside the city and on its flanks.
To the east, the AFU still holds the outskirts of Chasiv Yar, which prevents a full encirclement of Kostyantynivka from the northeast.
In the southern and southwestern parts of the city, intense firefights between small infantry groups are ongoing. Both sides are pulling forces into the urban area, using buildings and industrial zones for cover. Ukrainian formations actively employ “Baba Yaga” drop drones.
Russian units counter UAVs, locate and strike launch points, and eliminate operators. The heaviest fighting is taking place in Ilyinivka and Dolga Balka. Their liberation would allow Russian drone operators to move closer to the front and create a foothold for encircling Kostyantynivka from the northwest.
Ukrainian command continues sending reserves into the city on armored vehicles and pickups, but they become easy targets for fiber-optic drones.
As a result, a large “equipment graveyard” has formed on the northern approach to Kostyantynivka.
The battle remains intense and attritional.
