🚨With Lisandro Martínez back on pitch in November, I honestly think the best move would be to play him at left centre-back and push Luke Shaw higher up into the left wing-back role. When Martínez plays at LCB, he naturally steps into midfield during build-up, which helps United progress the ball under pressure. His passing range and composure make it easier to break the press and switch play quickly, something we’ve lacked since his injury. Pushing Shaw to wing-back adds a new dynamic. He has the crossing ability to stretch teams, and with Martínez covering behind him, Shaw can go forward freely without leaving the defence exposed. It also gives more balance to the left side, Shaw’s overlaps would allow Bruno or Cunha to drift inside, creating overloads in central areas. This setup doesn’t just strengthen our defence, it improves our transitions. The only concern i have is about Shaw and his physical ability of playing as LWB as i don’t think his body can handle that pressure, but if he can than there is no player on our team better than him for that LWB position.
