DNS attack on @AerodromeFi shows once again how critical frontend security is — and why true decentralization is needed. This attack didn’t breach any on‑chain logic. It targeted the user interface — the website — exploiting its vulnerabilities. Traditional smart contract audits alone can’t prevent this type of attack. As long as web3 dApps rely on Web2 DNS, Web2 hosting, and Web2 front‑ends, the weakest link decides the outcome. web3:// is already in use, supporting Base chain and 20+ major networks. This decentralized HTTP replacement avoids risks like DNS hijacking, letting users load applications directly from on‑chain or decentralized storage — cryptographically verified, tamper‑proof, and censorship‑resistant. End‑to‑end decentralization isn’t a slogan. It’s a security requirement. The industry doesn’t need more audits; it needs to eliminate the layers that still depend on Web2. web3:// is how we get there.
