The police can FINE you up to £10,000 and 3 points on your license for having bald or minimum tread on your tyres if they find you driving an unroadworthy vehicle. Should the police be able to FINE local councils for unroadworthy roads with potholes?

@NotFarLeftAtAll Abolish the MOT. Councils should be invoiced by drivers whose vehicles are damaged on their roads.

@robert91165 @NotFarLeftAtAll In theory you can claim for the damages, but they always look for excuses, like the pothole was not reported. It is worth trying.

@JaimePB75 @robert91165 @NotFarLeftAtAll Yes they’ll try and find a way around it for sure but regardless if the pothole was reported or not it’s still their issue to send out inspectors and keep it in check

@JaimePB75 @robert91165 @NotFarLeftAtAll I had this same issue, when I reported the pot hole which we'd been avoiding for the past 2 weeks they wrote back sayimg it's inspected every 4 weeks and it wasn't there at the time 🙄
