@omniscient57 @OpenSoftwareCo our inference for open-weight models are run by Venice's private infrastructure, not the model creators themselves. we detecting meetings by checking if you're in a browser/Teams/Zoom/etc and your Mic is being used. we'll teach this info to June for next time – thank you!

How is it truly private when you're using Asian models? Also, I couldn't find anywhere within the tool or on the site how it detects that it's in a meeting. In fact, when I asked, it said that it doesn't detect that it's in the meeting, but it takes notes that already exist and can work with them.

AI Meeting note companies have been stealing your private meetings for a long time to train new models (look up the lawsuits). This is not only illegal, but a major invasion of your privacy and an insult to your humanhood. Your private meetings should stay private.

@bygregorr @OpenSoftwareCo Everything June reads is already private through our verifiable TEE backend and Venice's private inference!

@OpenSoftwareCo write restriction is the easy half. 'can use the context it needs' is doing all the real privacy work, and that part is way harder to audit

Private AI, sandboxed locally on your Mac. June's agent now starts in Sandboxed Mode by default. It gives your agent a protected place to work in. June can use the context it needs, but it can’t freely write across your mac. Open source. MIT. How it works ↓

We've all heard of horror stories of desktop agents bricking computers, unnecessarily modifying workspaces, and doing things it shouldn't be doing. June's sandbox mode allows read capabilities while limiting write actions to its own sandbox to let you harness the power of AI agents safely.

@OpenSoftwareCo "Private and local", but doesn't allow you to sign up with a basic email/password combo. I'm out.

seems pretty misleading to keep going about “private ai” and “on your mac” and then sort of just be a wrapper for Venice? please correct me if i’m wrong but there is no way to actually add a local model (or any model that isn’t on venice) to this app

it's crazy to see sign ups roll in for the product but not be able to see anything they're doing because it's actually private. if you run into a bug can you please let us know 🙏

June couldn't have been built without Venice. Open source models are extremely powerful, but consumer hardware can't run them. We needed a cloud provider that committed 100% to privacy, and Venice was the clear choice.

with this, you can spin up an agent as fast as an idea/bug/request comes to you in parallel, instead of babysitting each of them.

instead of building slop loops, here is an ACTUALLY useful agent loop you can start using today to 2x your productivity by allowing you to walk away from your agent. ask your agent to set up a skill with this prompt:
