@burningtrashhh @_vampirefemme @Haf_art The problem with it is the reasoning. It's a fundamentally flawed way to handle things. It's bad thinking, arguably reactionary thinking even to see a thing that's approximate to something negative and then hate the thing purely for that proximity.

hey friendly reminder when you're writing dialogue in fics you're meant to end with a comma and not a full stop/period unless an action follows. so it should look like this "I love you, Michaela," Francesca said. and not like this "I love you, Michaela." Francesca said.

@101temptations @transrhine @hollanovvs why not? i would never critique fanwork but if i saw this in a novel my review would include something like "i can't tell if this was deliberate or if the author has a poor grasp on grammar, and either way it is jarring and aesthetically indefensible"

SPOKEN ALOUD. hence why some people, including i, prefer to break that rule in dialogue.

@101temptations @transrhine @hollanovvs i was correcting what you said. it ends in a comma as if there's more to the sentence because there is. "i love you." is a complete sentence but "she said." is not, hence why if you include a dialogue tag you must attach it to dialogue via the comma. or just don't include it
